Internet disagrees with Megyn Kelly's prediction of Michelle Obama replacing Joe Biden for 2024 election
WASHINGTON, DC: Former Fox News host Megyn Kelly speculated that former First Lady Michelle Obama may be preparing to run for president to succeed the 81-year-old Democrat incumbent Joe Biden.
Kelly cited Michelle Obama's recent criticism of Donald Trump in a popular podcast as "very interesting" and potentially influential in shaping the course of the upcoming election.

Additionally, Kelly noted that the former first lady appeared on the ‘On Purpose’ podcast, despite not having any promotional material to share, which could suggest a covert motive on Obama’s part, per DailyMail.
However, Michelle Obama's Instagram post sharing moments from the podcast revealed that she was promoting her new book 'The Light We Carry' which was released in November, last year.
During her interview with influencer Jay Shetty on the podcast, Obama expressed her fears about the upcoming election and the possibility of Trump regaining the presidency.

Although she did not mention Trump's name, Obama voiced concerns about American citizens taking democracy for granted.
What did Michelle Obama say on Jay Shetty’s podcast?
Michelle Obama stated during her appearance on the ‘On Purpose’ podcast, “What's going to happen in this next election? I am terrified about what could possibly happen because our leaders matter.”
“Who we select speaks for us. Who holds that bully pulpit, it affects us in ways that sometimes I think people take for granted,” the former first lady added.
She continued, “You know, the fact that people think that government, ehhh, you know, doesn't really even do anything and I'm like, 'oh my God, the government does everything for us'.”
“And we cannot take this democracy for granted. And sometimes I worry that we do,” she revealed.
Obama divulged on the podcast that she was fearful of the rise of Artificial Intelligence, climate change, education, bloodshed in "too many regions," and people using their phones excessively before bringing up the topic of the upcoming US general elections set to be held during November 2024.
“Are people going to vote and why aren't people voting? I mean those are the things that keep me up,” Obama shared.

She claimed that having been a first lady of the United States in the past added to her incessant worrying.
“There's such a thing as knowing too much,” she said, adding, “And when you've been married to the president of the United States who knows everything about everything in the world, sometimes you just want to turn it off.”
“I don't want to know what was in that folder that you just got that made you quiet, you know? I don't want to know why the security just pulled you over,” Obama continued.
“I mean it could be any range of things that comes across the desk of the leader of the free world, right? So I know a lot about what's going on and what keeps me up are the things that I know,” she noted.

Obama revealed that she has picked up two hobbies since vacating the White House in 2017.
During the pandemic, Obama picked up knitting, which, going by her comments has become one of her new favorite activity.
The other is tennis, which she finds to be a calming.
These two activities have become her go-to when she needs to relax and clear her mind.
“I've developed habits that shut my brain off to thinking,” she told Shetty.
“Learning something physical shuts my mind down," she remarked regarding her efforts while playing tennis, adding, “Nothing shuts my mind down like running after a green ball.”
What did Megyn Kelly say regarding Michelle Obama’s podcast appearance?
Obama was described by Kelly as "a powerful Democratic weapon" on her self-titled talk show on SiriusXM on Tuesday, but she questioned what impact she could generate.
Kelly noted, “She wasn't powerful enough to stop Trump in 2016. It's not like she stayed quiet then. She was very clearly against him... Didn't work. Whether it works this time as a pundit, I remain skeptical.”
However, the former Fox News host stated that if the former first lady convinces President Biden that she has a better chance of beating Donald Trump and that he should step aside for her, it would certainly shake up the presidential race.
Kelly continued, “But if she comes out as a candidate, it's a whole new ballgame because there's no question she's more talented than Joe Biden is politically. No question.”
Kelly noted that Obama didn't have an event or book she wanted to promote, so she must have taken the interview because she had something to say.
The radio host alluded to the comments made by Obama about Trump as a means of providing insight into her potential aspirations for running for the Oval Office or, simply being a political commentator.

Kelly remarked that Obama's emphasis on rhetoric, such as her inquiry about "Who speaks for us?" and "Who holds that bully pulpit?" was excessive.
“That's all her husband did. That's all he had. He was a talented orator. So, no wonder she's touting that as like ‘the thing we need in a president.’ Who cares?” she asked.
She added, “It would be nice if you could speak, if you can sort of rally America and its fans to back us, but that's not really what we're electing a president. We'd really like policies that make sense.”
“And then our second point, ‘a government does everything’ – ‘they do it all, everything, that's what we need.’ So that's gonna be her platform,” Kelly speculated.
According to a recent Daily Mail/JL Partners poll, Michelle Obama was the preferred choice among independents for the Democratic nomination if Joe Biden withdraws from the race, with 17 percent of respondents indicating their support.
Among registered Democrats, Vice President Kamala Harris was the frontrunner with 22 percent support, while Michelle Obama came in second with 17 percent.
Despite lacking political experience, Obama's popularity as a first lady, combined with her self-made success story, having risen from a blue-collar background in Chicago to graduate from Harvard Law School and work as a highly successful attorney, make her an ideal candidate for Democratic and independent voters alike.
