WASHINGTON, DC: Former First Lady Michelle Obama recently made an appearance on Jay Shetty’s podcast where she admitted that she was  “terrified” about the potential outcome of the 2024 election.

Michelle said in the podcast, “What’s going to happen in this next election? I’m terrified about what could possibly happen because our leaders matter. Who we select, who speaks for us, who holds that bully pulpit, it affects us in ways sometimes I think people take for granted.”

Whilst several people shared their take on her remarks made during this podcast, one of those people included republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, who admitted, she too is “terrified” about the outcome, but the reasons weren’t the same as the former First Lady.

Marjorie Taylor Greene quotes Michelle Obama on X

On X, formerly known as Twitter, Marjorie Taylor Greene took a brief part of an interview that lasted over an hour and shared her remarks on the same.

Greene wrote, “Michelle Obama says she is ‘terrified’ of what could happen in the next election. We are too. We don’t want another stolen election.”

She added another quote by Michelle Obama from the podcast with her own response, “‘I am terrified of what could possibly happen because our leaders matter.’ We think so too and we don’t want the dementia dictator controlling the bully pulpit.”

“Michelle says the government does everything for us. WRONG. The American people do everything and pay for the government that is screwing everything up,” concluded Greene on X.

Internet mocks Marjorie Taylor Greene online

Following Marjorie Taylor Greene’s remarks on Michelle Obama’s statements made during a recent podcast, the internet was quick to weigh in as they resorted to ridicule and mockery when it came to the congresswoman.

One user wrote, “Bro, shut up," and another wrote, "You will be charged this year. I’ll be patient."

"Stop lying and gas lighting @mtgreenee. We hope you lose the next election! There are far more qualified people waiting to take your seat that will actually work for their district unlike u," wrote one user and another said, "It wasn’t stolen. Ask anyone."

Greene continued to face backlash online as one user wrote, "Lies," and another expressed, "IT WASN’T STOLEN!!!!!"
