LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: According to sources, former NFL star OJ Simpson did not make any shocking admissions regarding the unsolved 1994 murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman on his deathbed.

A source with direct knowledge confirmed to TMZ that Simpson refuted long-standing rumors that he was involved in the horrific killings of his ex-wife and her companion.

Simpson, 76, lost his fight with prostate cancer on Wednesday, April 10. In the final week of his life, almost 30 members of his inner circle of friends and family bid farewell to the former Buffalo Bills player.

Soon after word of Simpson's death spread, began to wonder if the former NFL star had mentioned anything regarding the killings of his ex-wife Nicole Brown, and her friend Ron Goldman.

The notion was stoked by the way it played out like the ideal movie scene, but an insider with firsthand knowledge assured that it was just a rumor.

When asked about whether anything similar occurred, one source referred to it as "totally false."

"Unless being thirsty and asking for water is a confession ... or wanting to watch the golf tournament. Nothing about the LA thing came up or was even thought about," the source added.

In 1995, Simpson—also known as The Juice—was found not guilty of killing Nicole or Goldman after an 11-month double murder trial.

In 1997, however, his ex-wife's estate and Goldman's family filed a wrongful death civil suit against Simpson, and he was found to be liable for their deaths.

Simpson was ordered to pay $33.5 million in damages; however, Goldman's father, Fred, declared in 2021 that the former athlete had only paid $132k of the judgment, with interest driving the total amount to $70 million, per Radar Online.

Moreover, Simpson released a book titled 'If I Did It: Confessions of the Killer' in 2007. However, he has never acknowledged the killings in public.

Though there have been rumors to the contrary, Simpson's children from his previous marriage—Sydney and Justin, and his grandchildren—were present when he died.

According to sources, Simpson was receiving hospice care, and everyone was required to sign NDAs, and no one was permitted to bring phones into the master bedroom.

"Is anyone else disappointed that OJ Simpson died and there was no deathbed confession?" enquired another disappointed online user.

Another one stressed, "The only possible reason I would want to see anything on OJ Simpson is to have his deathbed confession...although I think he already wrote his confession in the form of a book...and to have him examined for CTE. Otherwise..."
