LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Late NFL star Aaron Hernandez's fiancee, Shayanna Jenkins, was not thrilled by the jokes made about the former New England Patriot star during Netflix's live special, 'The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady.'

The comments mocking Hernandez, who died by suicide in his prison cell in 2017 while serving a life sentence for the murder of Odin Lloyd, saddened Jenkins, 34, who is the mother of Hernandez's 11-year-old daughter, Avielle, per TMZ.

Aaron Hernandez committed suicide in 2017 while incarcerated on a life sentence for the 2013 killing of semi-professional football player Odin Lloyd.

He had been diagnosed with a severe case of CTE, a degenerative brain disease that can lead to depression, violent mood swings, and other cognitive impairments, per Daily Mail.

However, comedian Nikki Glaser and actor Julian Edelman proceeded to make highly offensive jokes about him on the night of Sunday, May 5.

Several of these jokes caught Hernandez's former Patriots teammate Rob Gronkowski off guard, visible as host Kevin Hart shifted uncomfortably in his seat.

Speaking about "how big Gronk's (Gronkowski) d*** is," Edelman added, "But there was this other Patriots tight end. Now he was hung." At that point, Glaser made a crude joke about Hernandez wearing "a ring around his neck."

"Give it up for zero-time Super Bowl champion Randy Moss! Why don’t you have a ring? What the hell, man, you’re one of the best ever. Drew Bledsoe has a ring. Aaron Hernandez had a ring...around his neck," Glaser snarked.

Shayanna Jenkins, the mother of Hernandez's only child, 11-year-old Avielle, expressed to TMZ the challenges she faces raising her children in what she describes as a "cruel" world.

"It’s sad that I’m trying to raise my children in such a cruel world," Jenkins remarked.

Additionally, Jenkins conveyed to the publication that despite numerous inquiries about Hernandez's life and death, their daughter will inevitably encounter the jokes from the Netflix show.

Throughout the evening, Hernandez's murder conviction and suicide were referenced on multiple occasions, with Brady remarking, "The bar for a Patriots tight end was pretty low back then — block, catch, don't murder," per People.

Several others took the opportunity to condemn Aaron Hernandez's misconduct following his fiancee's "cruel" statement with one saying, "It’s comedy. Nothing is off-limits. She could choose to use it as a lesson for her kids to not get butt hurt every time they hear something 'mean.'"

"So she idolizes a convicted killer? Sounds like her standards aren't very high," remarked another user.

A user echoed a similar sentiment and said, "Aaron Hernandez was a POS… No need to defend him. Tell the daughter the truth."
