WASHINGTON, DC: In comparison to President Joe Biden, Donald Trump received far fewer campaign donations in February—just over $20 million, according to the New York Post.

According to Fox News, on Wednesday, March 20, Trump's campaign and joint fundraising committee brought in $20.33 million in February, and the candidate has $42 million in cash on hand.

The amount contributed in February is a significant rise above the two previous campaign donation totals for the Trump campaign. Trump's campaign spent more money than it received in January despite his declaration that $13.875 million had been donated.

The former president received contributions totaling almost $10.5 million in December. Much of the money that Trump received from donors went toward the Republican presidential primary races.

In addition, Trump has had to use the money he raised during his campaign to pay for the growing legal expenses associated with his four criminal indictments.

In the meantime, according to the President's campaign, Biden's political apparatus raised $53 million in February—more than twice as much as Trump did—and added almost $11 million in new contributions from January to February.

Additionally, the 81-year-old president's campaign touted its $155 million war chest in cash.

Notably, earlier this month, Biden and Trump both secured their party's presidential selections. A RealClearPolitics average of surveys shows that Trump leads the incumbent both nationally and in the majority of battleground states.

Trump campaign adviser Steven Cheung informed Fox News about Trump’s fundraising haul and said, "Americans know that they were better off with President Trump four years ago than with Crooked Joe Biden and his disastrous policies."

He added, "We need a return to America First policies that successfully kept our country safe and supercharged the economy for all Americans."
