'Her daddy got money:' Internet feels 'Matrix' star Laurence Fishburne's daughter needed harsher sentence in battery charge against cop
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Laurence Fishburne’s eldest daughter Montana has been sentenced in a 2022 battering case.
The 32-year-old will be doing 24 months of probation for attacking a law enforcement officer.
What did Montana Fishburne do?
Montana Fishburne called 911 on her ex-boyfriend for reportedly stalking and threatening her.
Once police arrived on the scene, there was no one home. The court documents mention that Montana allegedly started yelling at cops “that no one helped her” from the sidewalk near the reported address and approached them.
The officers told her “multiple times to back up” but she instead slapped one of the deputies on the side of his head, causing swelling and redness in the officer’s ear.
Montana in the beginning pleaded not guilty, but later agreed on a plea deal.
“There is no admission of guilt and no conviction and the case will be sealed and put in the rearview,” Montana’s attorney Michael Grieco said in a statement.
“And young Ms Fishburne will be able to move on with her life,” he added.
He also revealed that Montana will have to go through a 13-week anger management program.
Montana Fishburne’s past run-ins with law enforcement
Montana Fishburne was previously booked in 2017 when she was charged with three misdemeanors for a DUI but released after posing a $2,500 bond. She was back at it in Florida and was arrested for driving under the influence.
'Matrix' star Laurence Fishburne is a father of three. He had a daughter named Montana and a son named Langston, 36, with ex-wife Hajna O Moss. The 62-year-old also co-parents daughter Delilah, 16, with 'Suits' alum Gina Torres.
Talking about her famous father, Montana told US Weekly earlier, “I wasn’t really into mainstream acting. People would ask me, ‘Do you want to get into acting? Do you want to be an actress?’ and I would say, straight up, ‘No.’ I knew I wanted to do adult [films].”
