Kate Middleton issues apology over 'altered' photo?
After facing backlash from all corners, Kate issued an apology over Instagram Story and X.

However, Instagram has now issued a glaring ‘altered photo’ warning to the Princess of Wales’ controversial snap. “Altered photo/video,” is plastered in red under Kate's Mother's Day post. The message reads, “The same altered photo was reviewed by independent fact-checkers in another post."
What does Instagram warning on Kate Middleton's photo say?
After clicking on the warning further details are shared with the users. The warning explains, “There may be small differences. Independent fact-checkers say the photo or image has been edited in a way that could mislead people, but not because it was shown out of context.”
The Princess of Wales had an abdominal surgery in January for which she was hospitalized briefly. However, since then, she hasn't made any public appearances. It is expected that the Princess of Wales will make her first public appearance in June at the Trooping the Colour parade which is held to celebrate the official birthday of her father-in-law King Charles.
Internet rallies behind Kate Middleton over 'altered-photo' warning
The internet reacted strongly to the ‘altered photo’ warning from Instagram and many users thought it was "unfair."
"Tell Instagram that they need issue the same alert to all celebs and influencers on instagram, starting with every single photo of the Kardashians," a user on X said.
Another user said, "Laughably ridiculous for Instagram to try to make an example of her — when literally 95 per cent of posts on that platform are FAR more 'altered.”'
"Why @instagram do not do that with the Kardashians???" another user questioned.
The same thoughts were shared by another user, "But not to Kim Kardashian’s. At this point it’s just nasty."
One user expressed support to Middleton, "Idiots .Such a beautiful photo. #IStandWithCatherine"
