LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Rapper Jelly Roll likes to follow his instincts. The ‘Save Me’ crooner had a chance to meet music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs but he bailed out.

Roll and Diddy were on the same episode of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ in October last year.

Why did Jelly Roll say 'nah' to meeting Diddy?

“This is the first time in my career, ever, where they said, ‘Do you want to meet such-and-such?’ And I said, ‘Yeah,'” the country musician revealed.

“I started walking that way and as I was getting down the hallway — this is a true story — I said, ‘Nah,’ and went and got back in the car,” the ‘Need a Favor’ singer revealed on the ‘Cancelled with Tana Mongeau' podcast.

Born Jason Bradley DeFord, Jelly, however, didn’t know what it was that stopped him from meeting Diddy at that moment. "Swear. I don’t know what it was," he said.

Roll said he joked on the set that Diddy was allegedly involved in Tupac Shakur’s 1996 murder.

“And I made a joke at first. I was like, ‘Who don’t wanna meet the guy that got Tupac [Shakur] killed?’ Nobody thought that was funny, so I was like, ‘Ooh, that’s a bomb, maybe I shouldn’t go do this anyway'," said the 39-year-old.

"So I was already skeptical ‘cause I thought I had a funny one," he added.

Roll felt a bad vibe about meeting the now-tainted rapper, reports TMZ.

“When we were walking, I was like, ‘I don’t know,'” he said. “Very seldom does things rub me in a way where I was like, ‘I don’t even know if that’s a picture I want.'”

The episode of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' happened a few weeks before Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Casandra 'Cassie' Ventura filed a lawsuit against him.

Roll went on to express displeasure over the moments when he had to pose with people whom he would otherwise avoid.

“Motherf**kers will walk a carpet around the same time. S**t happens,” he said.

“They’re like, ‘Hey, y’all get together.’ And you’re like, ‘I don’t really even know who this human is'."
