AUSTIN, TEXAS: Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas continues to stand firm in his support for Israel, despite facing nearly two dozen anti-Israel protests outside his Houston-area residence, which he shares with his wife and two children.

Since February, protesters have been assembling to chant slogans outside Cruz's home, following the uproar over Hamas' attack on Israel on October 7.

Ted Cruz faces protests in Texas due to his unwavering support for Israel

The protests are a reaction to Ted Cruz's unwavering support for Israel throughout the conflict and his vocal criticism of "cultural Marxism" in the nation's top universities' curriculums.

A Cruz spokesperson stated to Fox News Digital, "It doesn’t matter how long this anti-Israel, pro-terrorist harassment continues. Sen Ted Cruz will continue to fight antisemitism and stand for Texas values. He’s proud to stand with Israel as the country fights to utterly eradicate Hamas for as long as it takes."

The most recent occurrence was on Friday, June 14 evening, when protesters opposing Israel convened outside Senator Cruz's Texas residence, marking the 23rd such gathering since February 10.

Images and video capture a group of roughly twelve demonstrators holding signs that read "Cease Fire Now," "No rest for the wicked, Ted," and "Israel bombs playgrounds" as they chant and applaud outside Cruz's house on Friday.

The demonstrators were seen wearing masks, chanting, and ringing bells.

Cruz wrote on X on Friday night regarding the demonstrators, stating that they have visited his residence on most weekends this year and "They scream, disturb the peace & wake the neighbors."

"For the past 6 months, anti-Israel protestors have come to my home just about every Sat morning at 7 am and most Fri nights until 10 or 11 pm. They scream, disturb the peace & wake the neighbors," he posted.

The post further read, "No matter how much these antisemites cheer Hamas, I will stand with Israel."

Protesters outside Senator Ted Cruz's home are linked to Students for Justice in Palestine

In recent months, the protesters outside Senator Cruz's home have been linked to the Students for Justice in Palestine, as reported by law enforcement officials to the senator earlier this year, according to Fox News Digital.

Cruz has been the focus of liberal protesters organizing demonstrations outside his Houston residence, including an instance in 2021 when 60 to 70 climate activists convened.

Amid these protests at his home and on college campuses, Cruz has reaffirmed his support for Israel, denouncing the demonstrators as individuals "whose minds have been poisoned" into "hating America."

"The protests, the antisemitic protests, the anti-Israel protests we're seeing have been disgusting," Cruz said to Fox News during an appearance on the 'Brian Kilmeade Show' last month.

"They have been repulsive. These are radicals whose minds have been poisoned. They have been taught to hate Israel, and they've been taught to hate America," he added.

Cruz said, "And they are chanting in support of Hamas and in support of vicious terrorists. You look at a university, the Orthodox rabbi at Columbia advising them to stay home because they said Columbia cannot and will not protect your safety. That is utterly unacceptable. And the university administrators' side with the radicals."

"Joe Biden and the entire Democrat Party leadership has been AWOL as we are seeing this horrific antisemitism erupting on college campuses across the country," he concluded.

Internet supports Ted Cruz

As soon as the news went viral on Facebook, users started reacting to it. One wrote in Cruz's support, "Stand tough Ted!"

Another user added, "Bless you Mr. Ted Cruz. I just an old woman but I stand with Israel!"

A third commentator wrote, "He stands on principle." Talking about the protesters, a person said, "They are equally anti Americans..needs to be charged . We stand with Isreal."

"God bless him and his family and neighbors for dealing with this stupidity!!" a Facebook user mentioned.
