BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA: Gypsy Rose Blanchard created a stir when she announced that she had wiped out all her social media accounts, comparing the experience to "hell."

This comes after her husband, Ryan Scott Anderson, posted a mysterious message on Instagram on February 27, hinting at his "little family," leading to speculations about Gypsy possibly being pregnant, though there was no official confirmation.

According to E! News, Gypsy recently explained why she decided to delete her public social media profiles on TikTok and Instagram, expressing her desire to focus on building a private life after being released from prison.

Gypsy, who was convicted of second-degree murder for her involvement in the killing of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, served eight years of a ten-year sentence before her release in December 2023.

Soon she made her presence known on social media, amassing 7.8 million followers on Instagram and over 9 million followers on TikTok.

In a TikTok video, she shared, "So a lot of people already noticed that I already deleted my Instagram—the public one—with the 7.8 million followers when I deactivated it or, I deleted it, I permanently deleted it."

Gypsy further stated, "A lot of people are like, ‘What happened?' What happened is, I had a really good conversation with my dad and he gave me some guidance that I feel like I really needed. And that guidance was that real life is something you can touch—something you can feel—people you can actually hug."

She elaborated, "With the public scrutiny as bad as it is, I just don't want to live my life under a microscope. So I created a private Instagram, and I got it verified. And I had absolutely no doubts or trouble with deleting that public one."

"I had people who were like, ‘Oh my god, you're insane for deleting that kind of a following'. I'm like, ‘I could give an F about a following'. That's not real life," noted Gypsy.

As per The Shade Room, she compared the negative aspects of social media to "hell," voicing, "Social media is literally a doorway to hell. It’s so crazy. I can't even wrap my head around what social media is."
