On 'The Tonight Show', Lopez discussed creating her ninth studio album, 'This Is Me… Now', and mentioned how the project has been in the pipeline for the last 20 years. The singer went as far as to note that she felt this was the "best album" she has ever made.

When Fallon asked if this was going to be her last album, the 'On The Floor' songstress explained how the project took a lot out of her and how obsessed she was about its every little detail.

She narrated how the album turned into the Amazon original film, 'This Is Me...Now: A Love Story', and then a documentary, making her think, "This is it. This is my last hurrah. I am done!"

Reflecting on her artistic journey, JLo revealed that when she was working on her 2002 album, 'This Is Me… Then', she hadn't planned on creating a follow-up. However, looking back, she feels it was destiny as both albums are tributes to her husband, Ben Affleck.

"Sometimes you have these moments in life where you feel like, 'Oh, this was meant to be somehow,'" shared Lopez, adding, "And I didn't know that when it was happening then — when I decided to call it This Is Me... Then."

"I didn't even realize it was capturing a moment in time where I fell in love for the first time in that way and wrote this whole album. I felt inspired in the same way that I did when I did that first record," noted the pop icon, as per Daily Mail.

Taking about the 'This Is Me… Now' tour, which is scheduled to kick off in the summer of 2024, JLo shouted, "We're going in! My last hurrah!" as she threw her hands up in the air.

Subsequently, Lopez emphasized that her primary goal has always been to deliver exciting and electrifying performances for her fans, expressing, "That's my goal when people come to my show. I always want people to leave and be like, 'That's the best show I ever saw!'"
