Internet mocks spaced-out Donald Trump as he confuses February primary date with Thanksgiving Eve

'Go vote. November 27. So remember, this is a date that's very important,' Donald Trump said during a campaign event in Michigan

WATERFORD, MICHIGAN: During his address at a campaign rally in Michigan on Saturday, February 17, former US President Donald Trump mistakenly referred to the month of November instead of February in relation to the Great Lake State's primary election date.

Per MeidasTouch, in the campaign speech delivered to his supporters, the 77-year-old Republican presidential contender encouraged them to vote on Thanksgiving Eve, which does not coincide with the actual primary date of February 27.

What did Trump say during his campaign speech on Saturday?

“We need you to get out and vote to set the stage for November,” Trump said in his Waterford rally on Saturday.

The MAGA figurehead added, “Go vote. November 27. So remember, this is a date that's very important.”

It is worth noting that the primary date in Michigan was not in November as Trump asserted onstage but rather on February 27.

The US general election is scheduled for November 2024 and is likely to be a rematch of the 2020 elections between Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

The former POTUS took the opportunity to criticize President Biden's cognitive abilities during his address but ended up making a slipup himself, leading to a huge blowback from the Internet.

Internet mocks Trump for his verbal gaffe during Michigan campaign rally

People on X ridiculed the presumptive Republican presidential nominee as he committed the cardinal mistake of misspeaking onstage after berating his political opponent for doing the same.

One X user remarked, “You can’t even excuse him saying he was blustering that he’s already the guaranteed nominee."

Another quipped, "Don’t let the woke crowd tell you when to vote, MAGA. Just do what Trump said."

Someone else wrote, "November 27 he will be in prison."

One user said, "Yes MAGA get out there on November 27."

Another remarked, "Shhh... If MAGA in Michigan thinks they have until November 27th to vote, who are we to intervene? They heard it from their leader."

A tweet read, "Now picture the national media response if Biden said this."
