Mike Francesa thought Melania Trump's large hat was 'very odd'

For her husband’s second inauguration, Melania Trump, 54, dressed sharply in a navy outift from New York designer Adam Lippes and a coordinating hat by Eric Javits. While celebrities including Kim Kardashian became a fan of her attire, Mike Francesa could not care less.

He took to his 'The Mike Francesa Podcast' to share his vocal criticism for the hat as he deemed the accessory to be "odd," as per Daily Mail.

Praising the first lady, the broadcaster said, "Melania is stunning. She has great clothes. She’s a beautiful woman," before showing his disapproval to her accessory, "I did not like her hat."

He continued, "And I usually like hats, on women, especially on someone as stylish as she is. I did not like her hat at all."

The television host continued to showcase his aversion to the headgear, as he repeated, "Did not like her hat, that’s it. That was very odd. I just did not like her hat. I saw her walk in and I did not like her hat."

Meanwhile, Mike had something else to worry about as well. While the sports broadcaster shared his criticizing view of Melania's headgear, he himself hosted the episode in an unlikely accessory.

He recorded the episode after cutting his forehead and was sporting a ban-aid over his wound.

Mike shared, "I took Harrison (his son) back to school today, and it was a very cold and windy day," and explained, "I was reaching into the trunk to take out a couple of these bags and the wind blew the trunk down on my head and cut my head open."

"Under this bandage I actually need stitches. But I can’t get stitches because the cut is too wide. It has to heal first. Then they’ll stitch it and re-stitch it when they can re-stitch it I actually bashed my head open with the trunk of my car today. So, that was my afternoon," he added.

Internet gives a piece of mind to Mike Francesa over his criticism of Melania Trump's hat choice

The netizens, however, did not like Mike Francesa criticizing Melania Trump's hat choice with several calling him out for the same.

One of the readers said, "Not sure I would take fashion advice from a sports podcaster. However, no matter who is offering the criticism, it's unlikely that everyone will like every outfit that a well-known person will wear. That's life. For me, I liked the hat but I am sorry that her eyes were almost covered. She has pretty eyes."

A person wrote, "Loved her hat. She looked beautiful and dignified...exactly what one should look like at her husband's inauguration," and another shared, "Well, I have been waiting with bated breath to hear a sportscasters opinion on beautiful Melanie's hat. Now I can live again!"

Another declared, "Its a hat........... Hats have brims..........." Someone else suggested, "Hey Mike stick to sports bro."

An individual, however, quipped, "It's ok Mike, she's NEVER gonna wear it again. We'll cross our fingers on her next choice."
