NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Sean Hannity issued a cautionary message to Republicans regarding abortion leading up to the November election.

Following the overturning of Roe v Wade and the subsequent implementation of abortion bans and restrictions by numerous Republican-led states, Democrats have vigorously campaigned on the issue.

Republicans' narrow miss in 2022 midterms spurs Hannity's warning

Despite predictions of significant losses, Democrats narrowly missed losing the House in the 2022 midterms and even gained a Senate seat.

Additionally, Democrats have achieved victories in various special elections nationwide. Furthermore, abortion rights have prevailed in several ballot referenda, even in traditionally Republican-leaning states.

“We know what the playbook is,” Hannity said of Democrats on the April 3 show while speaking with three pollsters.

“They will demagogue on abortion. Republicans, they better have a good answer. And they also need to understand where the country is".

The Fox host, while identifying himself as "pretty pro-life", said, "If people were to ask me my personal views.... I'm pretty pro- life. If you're asking me politically where a politician needs to be, I would say the decision of 15 weeks."

"That's where the country is," he emphasized, noting that failure to recognize this could lead to significant electoral losses for Republicans.

"If Republican politicians don't understand that then they're going to get their asses kicked and they're going to lose," Hannity added.

Pollster Robert Cahaly concurred, emphasizing the importance of framing the discussion around abortion.

He suggested, "When the word ‘ban’ is being thrown around, Republicans are losing. When you start talking about ‘simple limitations,’ ‘reasonable limitations,’ and talking about the extreme being, ‘third-trimester abortion’ and ‘partial birth,’ Republicans are winning."

"Abortion is now a state issue, thus, the Republican and Independent candidates do not have to bring up the subject on the campaign trail, because as national contestants the issue of abortion is redundant," one comment read.
