Internet 'shocked' as Aspyn Ovard files for divorce from husband Parker Ferris right after announcing birth of third child

SALT CITY, UTAH: Aspyn Ovard has sent the internet into a frenzy after reports of the YouTuber filing for divorce from her husband Parker Ferris spread like wildfire on the same day she announced the birth of their third child. The couple has been married for more than eight years.

On Monday, April 1, the 27-year-old YouTube star filed for divorce in Salt Lake City, Utah, according to documents obtained by PEOPLE.

On April 1, 2024, Aspyn Ovard filed for divorce from Parker Ferris, the same day she announced the birth of her third child in a TikTok video.

"Sweet baby was ready to be born i guess 👶🏼,” she captioned the video while showing her with her baby bump and the scene shifted to her holding her newborn daughter, with the song lyrics "just trust me you'll be fine" written across the screen.

She posted a similar reel on her Instagram account. Later that day, the mom influencer, who boasts over 2.2 million Instagram followers and over 700K TikTok followers, posted another video in which she can be seen laughingly pointing at her stomach while mouthing the lyrics to the catchy song, 'My friend's in there'. Ovard has not yet disclosed the baby's name.

After filing for divorce, Ovard has continued to document her daughter's birth on social media, sharing her shock that she had her baby early at 34 weeks on Tuesday, April 2 afternoon.

However, it is still unclear when the baby was born. Additionally, Ferris and Ovard have two other children -- Cove, 4, and Lola, 2. 

The couple got married in October 2015 in a small ceremony in their hometown of St George, Utah. At that time, Ovard was 19, while Ferris was 20.

“I have a wife! She has a husband!” Ferris said at the time. “I’m sure it will hit me a little later once we actually get situated, living together, normal married life.”

Although no official statement was made by the couple about the divorce, social media users had a lot to say after the news spread.

On Instagram, one social media user said, "I feel bad for the child- they will be known as the child who's parents announced divorce the day they were born." 

Another user wrote, "I'm honestly so shocked," while one person commented, "I was really hoping this was an April fools joke. Either way praying for their sweet fam." 

One individual wrote, "I can't believe this!!!!! I used to watch their YouTube videos all the time," while another said, "These over the top couples man they always have secrets but act as if their life is perfect social media is fake." 

A user said, "Holy crap I didn't see this coming at ALL." Another user wrote, "I'm totally heartbroken."
