LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Gypsy Rose Blanchard is baffled by the recent remarks made by Sunny Hostin about her love life on 'The View'.

Blanchard told TMZ, on Friday, May 3, "Her comments are weird because she was so nice to me on 'The View'. She was so understanding and sweet and wished me nothing but the best,” before adding, "Everyone was so supportive. I wonder why she turned on me.”

What did Sunny Hostin say about Gypsy Rose Blanchard? 

During the Friday, May 3, episode of the morning show, the panel discussed Blanchard’s rekindled relationship with Ken Urker. Hostin, 55, was baffled by the idea of falling in love with someone behind bars.

She said, "I just don’t understand prison love,” before adding “I don’t understand it. I have successful, beautiful girlfriends that can’t get a date."

In 2018, Blanchard and Urker announced their engagement. However, they broke up the following year. While she was serving her term for the second-degree murder of her mother Claudine "Dee Dee" Blanchard, they became acquainted through a pen pal program in prison.

In 2015, Gypsy Rose persuaded her ex-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn to kill Dee Dee, who had supposedly emotionally and physically abused her. Gypsy Rose finished her seven-year sentence, and Godejohn, 34, received a life sentence after being found guilty of first-degree murder.

"She killed her mom,” Hostin said of Gypsy Rose on Friday. “I don’t know how you then start writing letters to her and then sleep next to her as the husband without one eye open. She killed a loved one. I just don’t understand the whole fascination,” she added.

It was not just Urker who developed a romantic relationship with Gypsy Rose throughout her imprisonment. While still in jail in 2022, Gypsy Rose married Ryan Scott Anderson following her breakup with Urker.

In December 2023, Gypsy Rose was released from prison. She appeared on 'The View' the next month to discuss her sentence.

Four months after getting out of prison, Gypsy Rose filed for divorce from Anderson after two years of marriage. Following her breakup, she reconnected with Urker and the pair got matching tattoos. She later confirmed that she and Urker were back together.

Internet slams Sunny Hostin for her comments about Gypsy Rose Blanchard

Several social media users slammed Sunnt Hostin for her comments, with a Facebook user saying, "Sunny is cloudy woman." 

Another user said, "All for attention." One added, "Sunny should mind her own business." 

Another called the host an "insane woman." While another wrote, "Someone please ask to zip her mouth."

One person said, "Sunny is not smart in general," while another added, "'She need some anti psychotic medication."

One individual wrote, "When it comes to Sunny she can make any topic a race issue and she can make any topic about her."
