Swifties slammed as magazine publishes negative review of Taylor Swift's 'TTPD' hiding critic's name
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Taylor Swift’s die-hard fan base, came under fire recently after reports surfaced that an outlet withheld the critic’s name while posting a negative review of the singer’s latest album ‘The Tortured Poets Department' out of fear of getting slammed online by Swifties.
This follows another instance where Kim Kardashian was reluctant to respond to the ‘Paper Rings’ singer after she reportedly dissed her on some ‘TTPD’ tracks. Kardashian’s response seemed to be held back by her fear of being ‘bullied’ by Swifties.
Magazine hides byline after Swifties sent 'threats of violence' over negative review
Swift has one of the most devoted fan bases in the world, but in the last couple of years bullying people who don't like her music has become too much for anyone to handle.
This time, the fear of Swift's fans has reached new heights. Paste Magazine decided to exclude the name of a critic from a review of Swift's latest album, 'The Tortured Poets Department', due to safety concerns, reports the Daily Mail.

The magazine recently took to X to release a special note which read, "Editor’s Note: There is no byline on this review due to how, in 2019 when Paste reviewed ‘Lover,’ the writer was sent threats of violence from readers who disagreed with the work. We care more about the safety of our staff than a name attached to an article."

'The Tortured Poets Department' was released on April 19 and received praise for its creativity and poetic style. However, some critics felt it was a bit lackluster compared to her previous work.
In their review, Paste Magazine criticized the album, saying, "#TaylorSwift is the most famous musician—and, arguably, person—on Earth, but on ‘The Tortured Poets Department,’ she can’t help but infantilize the very people who buy into her music and drive her successes upwards in the first place. The full review on Paste Magazine's website also stated, "The Tortured Poets Department title track features some of Swift’s worst lyricism to-date."
Despite the criticism, 'The Tortured Poets Department' became the first album to surpass 200 million and 300 million streams on Spotify in a single day.
Internet slams Swifties for 'bullying' critics
Facebook users slammed Swifties for their antics, with one writing, "Makes sense, anytime i’ve ever stated obvious facts as to her cookie cutter sound, her fans get in a tizzy and call names-one even said i must smoke m3th her fan base is def toxic for the most part."
Another user wrote, "There’s a way of giving feedback, it’s not ok to humiliate, bully or viciously attack anyone. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, make it constructive not personal."
A user commented, "I get it! If you write any little criticism of her in the comments on a post, Swifties come and viciously personally attack you for saying something negative about her. It’s like you’re not allowed to criticize her at all."
Another user commented, "For every bad review, a Swiftie cries into her pumpkin spice latte."
A user stated, "Bunch of cultists. Not all of them. After all, it is possible to like music without worshiping the ground said artist walks on but the widespread cultism I refer to is real."
Another user stated, "So her fans are basically hating bullies...not shocked. Smh."
