KAUAI ISLAND, HAWAII: Mark Zuckerberg's plans for a colossal $100 million complex on Hawaii's Kauai island have ignited intense speculation across the Internet. This sprawling compound, dubbed Koolau Ranch, is rumored to include an underground bunker alongside its opulent features, raising questions about the Meta mogul's cryptic intentions, as reported by New York Post.

Mark Zuckerberg's Koolau Ranch will be completely self-sufficient

The Zuckerberg compound, called Koolau Ranch, will consist of over a dozen buildings, including two large mansions, connected by an underground tunnel leading to a secure 5,000-square-foot bunker. In total, the property will have at least 30 bedrooms and 30 bathrooms along with numerous guest houses and unique treehouses connected by rope bridges.

The underground shelter, only accessible by a ladder, is built with reinforced concrete and steel and has an emergency escape hatch. Other security features include blast-resistant doors, keypad locks, soundproofing, and cameras covering the entire premises.

A critical aspect of the Zuckerberg compound is that it aims to be completely self-sufficient with its own food cultivation, water supply, and energy sources. A 55-foot wide water tank will collect rainwater, while existing agriculture provides food.

Zuckerberg has gone to great lengths to maintain secrecy around the project, requiring all construction crew members to sign strict non-disclosure agreements. The property is surrounded by a 6-foot wall and access is tightly controlled.

Even within the project plans, certain rooms and doors are labeled as "blind" or hidden from view. There is also an undisclosed "library" with a secret door built into the wall. All of this indicates that Zuckerberg seeks privacy along with security.
