DALLAS, TEXAS: Dallas police found themselves tangled in a serious situation when they launched an investigation into Rashee Rice, a wide receiver for the Super Bowl-winning Kansas City Chiefs, who may have been allegedly involved in a hit-and-run incident.

Police officials were actively seeking Rice on Sunday, March 31, after a Chevrolet Corvette, believed to be linked to him, was part of a crash on the North Central Expressway around 6:20 pm local time, Fox News reported.

Rice's involvement in the accident was reportedly unclear at the time. Despite ongoing inquiries, there was no trace of him in the records of the Dallas County Jail, as of Sunday.

Cops search for Rashee Rice after his alleged involvement in massive car crash

A Dallas police spokesperson told People that a Corvette and a Lamborghini were speeding in the far-left lane of the 6600 block of northbound North Central Expressway just before 6:25 pm local time.

“The drivers lost control and the Lamborghini traveled onto the shoulder and hit the center median wall, causing a chain reaction collision involving four other vehicles. The occupants of the Lamborghini and the Corvette all ran from the scene without stopping to determine if anyone needed medical help or providing their information,” the spokesperson said.

The Dallas police representative further said that two individuals who were in the other vehicle met with minor injuries and were rushed to a local hospital.

Dallas Fire Rescue provided the other two drivers with immediate first aid at the scene. The investigation is ongoing, and the authorities are making efforts to identify the suspects.

Rice, who was part of champions Kansas City Chiefs in the 2024 Super Bowl, previously played college football at Southern Methodist University in Dallas before being drafted by the Chiefs in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Representatives for Rice and the Chiefs did not immediately respond to the outlet's request for comment.
