NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Former White House communications chief Anthony Scaramucci claimed that Donald Trump looked considerably more tired than he did during his first presidential campaign in 2016 and throughout his presidency, RawStory reported.

Scaramucci, who served in the Trump administration, made those comments while discussing the former president and presumptive GOP nominee for 2024 on MSNBC in light of the latter being reportedly caught napping through his criminal hush-money trial in New York.

What did Anthony Scaramucci say about Donald Trump?

Civil rights activist Al Sharpton asked the former Trump aide during his appearance on MSNBC, "Courtroom observers report seeing him fall asleep or talk out of turn. Now he is fighting against a gag order imposed by calling it 'unconstitutional.' You worked with Trump in the White House. What (do) you make of his behavior during this trial?"

"I think he's tired," Scaramucci said, before adding, "I think he has way less energy than he did when I was working with them in the White House or on the 2016 campaign. He looks absolutely miserable. He is not great at cloaking the misery."

He claimed that the former president told "incredible lies" over Truth Social and that he had engaged in similar behavior during his stint at the White House.

"He did that consistently," shared Scaramucci. "I can tell you stories where he would come on the campaign plane and we would ask him why he misquoted something, why did he exaggerate those percentages. He would say sounds better and people will believe it. Even if other people say that I'm lying, people will believe it," he added.

"He (Trump) looks terrible and he's lying. It's literally the same playbook he's used as you and I both know from living in New York for 50 years," he added.

Internet trolls Trump after Anthony Scaramucci's comments

Netizens trolled Donald Trump over the comments made against him by his former aide, as the following examples from Facebook and the RawStory website demonstrate.

"Maybe he quit snorting Adderall," wrote a user on Facebook.

"He is old and in terrible health. Only exercise he gets is running his mouth," stated another.

"Of course, he has less energy...he's old...fat....and what passed for his brain is sundowning. He'll be the equivalent of a tree stump by the time the Olympics kick off," mocked a third.

"Looks like the old battery is startin' to give out," chided a fourth.

"His inner rotteness is feeding on him mentally and physically," jibed a fifth.
