WASHINGTON, DC: President Joe Biden seems to have regained a spring in his step after the election results were declared as the internet has observed him being more cheerful in the past few days. He even smiled broadly while welcoming Donald Trump to the White House for their meeting.

A photo from the White House showing the two leaders in conversation caused widespread confusion because Biden appeared taller than Trump, a detail that quickly caught the attention of the internet, known for its sharp observational skills.

Biden-Trump meet-up photo sparks height speculation

An official White House photograph from President-elect Donald Trump's meeting with President Joe Biden has fueled conspiracy theories regarding Biden's stature. In the image, Biden appears taller than Trump, although he is reportedly slightly shorter.

The photograph captured by White House photographer Oliver Contreras has ignited speculation that a clone of Biden might be making public appearances for the President.

“You know, it’s been a long, it’s been a long slog,” Trump said. “It’s been a lot of work on both sides and he did a very good job with respect to campaigning and everything else. We really had a really good meeting.”

“We got to know each other again,” the President-elect added.

Rumors swirl that Joe Biden 'grew a few inches'

Social media users have been speculating that President Joe Biden "grew a few inches" after his first public appearance on July 23, following his decision to step aside and clear the way for a new presidential nominee.

A netizen posted a video on platform X, claiming, "Biden grew a few inches while he was missing for five days…"

Despite various challenges, President Biden, who is 6 feet tall, seems to have reaped some benefits from his decision to exit the race. While it aided his recovery from Covid-19, there is speculation that it might have also contributed to an increase in his height.

There is a theory that the president may have worn a special pair of shoes, rumored to prevent falling, which could explain the perceived height gain if such rumors are to be considered within a reasonable context.

Social media reacts to height disparity between Joe Biden and Donald Trump

Following the recent meeting between Joe Biden and Donald Trump, social media has begun discussing the height disparity between the two political figures.

A user wrote, "Biden is allegedly 6'0’’ even, while Trump is 6'3’’. Look at old pictures of Biden and Obama (6'2’’) or Obama and Trump for reference. So why is Biden so much taller now? And coherent too? He really is dead huh?"

Another added, "Biden is 6ft. Trump is 6,3. What the heck? #daddylonglegs"

One commentator explained the reason for Biden appearing taller than Trump, "Trump is 6’3. Biden appears taller because he’s thinner and he wears orthotics which raise your height. My 94 yr father-in-law wore them."

"Wondered why Biden looked taller than trump whos 6’2-6’3 ish until I noticed the kicks. Looks like Biden broke out the new air desantis shoes for the trump visit," an X user mocked.

A person claimed, "Biden is 6ft, obviously Trump has been lying about his height which he says is 6.3."

Someone else chimed in, "Look at Bidens shoes. And Trump is hunching more these days."

"Come on, we all know Biden's shorter and this is just his clone," one individual said.
