WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump made a return to the White House after being invited by President Joe Biden for a historic post-election get-together in the Oval Office on Wednesday, November 13.

After his meeting with Biden, Trump talked with the New York Post and shared about his visit.

“You know, it’s been a long, it’s been a long slog. It’s been a lot of work on both sides and he did a very good job with respect to campaigning and everything else. We really had a really good meeting,” the President-elect said of the POTUS.

Donald Trump on transition to power

Donald Trump and Joe Biden discussed making the process of transition of power on January 20, as simple as possible.

The President-elect said while sitting with Biden that it will be “as smooth as can be” as the Republican’s attempt to contest the results four years ago that resulted in the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot.

On picking his team of officials for his second term, Trump told the outlet, “It’s going very smoothly," and added that the Republican transition team and the Biden White House enjoy a “very, very good relationship.”

Donald Trump and Joe Biden talk about Ukraine and the Middle East

Joe Biden and Donald Trump also touched upon various issues, including two ongoing wars involving Ukraine and the Middle East.

“I wanted — I asked for his views and he gave them to me. Also, we talked very much about the Middle East, likewise. I wanted to know his views on where we are and what what he thinks. And he gave them to me, he was very gracious,” Trump told the publication.

Biden welcomed Trump with the words, “Well, Mr President-elect, former president, Donald,” as they sat together in front of the fire.

Extending his congratulations, Biden added, “Welcome back,” before the two men shook hands.

Trump, in return, expressed his appreciation, noting, “Politics is tough, and it’s, in many cases, not a very nice world, but it is a nice world today, and I appreciate it very much,” he said, with Biden at his side.

The last two presidents of the United States are likely to meet once again before the inauguration ceremony, “The Oval Office is so beautiful and I do certainly look forward [to coming back],” said Trump.
