LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Name That Tune' host and former 'American Idol' judge Randy Jackson's appearance had some fans expressing concern because it was obvious that Randy has lost a significant amount of weight since leaving the musical show.

In a promotional image, Vanessa Williams, 60, and Wendi McLendon-Covey, 54, the show's contestants, were seen behind the 67-year-old artist as he played the piano on the 'Name That Tune' set.

Wearing a smart blue jacket with a gold pin, Randy looked fine as the bandleader for the Fox show. Although the majority of his body was unnoticed, it was evident that he had lost a lot of weight.

Fans on social media took to Instagram to comment on Randy's appearance in the telling image shared by the official Reality Club Fox Instagram account, with one saying, "Randy looks like a robot on this show."

Another fan took to the comment section of another image shared by Randy on his Instagram account by stating, "I love him, but why are his eyes yellow? Is he okay?"

"Why does Randy look like he just got rescued from the desert in Ethiopia?" enquired another user.

"Are you ok? You look sick" wrote another one.

Randy Jackson's personal account of his health and weight loss journey

Over the past 20 years, Randy Jackson has essentially changed American popular culture by creating the framework for reality competitions and game shows that people watch on television today.

As the famous media personality made a comeback to television in 2021, Randy's followers expressed concern over his weight loss while he was the band leader on the Fox game program, 'Name That Tune'.'

The singer-turned-producer received a type 2 diabetes diagnosis in 2002, during his second season as an 'American Idol' judge. He claimed to the media at the time that he weighed more than 350 pounds and had eaten his way through bad habits for the majority of his life.

The 'Name That Tune' judge admitted that his health remains a work in progress to hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush-Hager during a 2021 appearance on the 'Today Show'.

"I started on this health regimen many years ago while I was on American Idol… Lost a ton of weight, started gaining it back," he said at the time, describing how he had lost more than 100 pounds in the years following surgery.

Randy divulged to the hosts that he has been dieting for "a long time coming." His justification on 'The Today Show' was in line with what he said in his book 'Body With Soul'.

In his 2008 self-help book, 'Body With Soul', Randy addressed about his battles with Type 2 Diabetes. The former 'Idol' judge stated, "It's a curse to be saddled with a disease that's life-threatening and that you can't completely get rid of, though you can certainly manage it."

Randy further wrote: "But it's a blessing to get that huge wake-up call. After that day in the ER, when my doctor burst the bubble I'd been living in, I couldn't lie to myself anymore. Right then and there, I began my journey toward better health."
