‘It’s a family forever’: Jennifer Aniston gets emotional as ‘Friends’ completes 30 years
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jennifer Aniston is having a hard time coming to terms with the death of ‘Friends’ co-star Matthew Perry. The actress broke into tears during a recent interview while discussing the cult sitcom's 30th anniversary.
Perry, famous for his activism against drug addiction, was found dead in his hot tub on October 28, 2023, at the age of 54.
An autopsy report later revealed in December that Perry’s death was caused by the acute effects of ketamine, the prescribed medicine used to treat his depression.

Aniston, 55, recently sat for Variety's 'Actors on Actors' interview with ‘Abbott Elementary’ star Quinta Brunson, 34.
During the interview, the ‘Murder Mystery’ star was asked about how it feels to watch ‘Friends’ now that the show is turning 30 years old.

It was then the actress became emotional and said, “Oh God, Don't make me cry!”
Quinta replied, “You're already crying,” before adding, “Do you want a minute? We don't have to talk about [it.]," per Daily Mail.
Aniston was then handed a tissue by a producer as she stated, “These are happy tears."
After debuting in 1994, the show ran for ten years till its conclusion in 2004. The actress reminisced, “It's so strange to even think that it's 30 years old.”
She continued, “The fact that it's had this long and wonderful life and it still means a lot to people is one of the greatest gifts I think all six of us could ever imagine,” before adding, “It's a family forever.”
One cannot help but wonder whether the actress was remembering her late co-star as she reminisced about the show.
Aniston starred in the show along with Perry, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, and Lisa Kudrow.
Previously in December, Aniston remembered Perry in an interview with Variety. She shared that he was happy and healthy before his tragic death.
She recalled Perry’s final days in the interview, and shared, “As he said he'd love to be remembered. He was happy. He was healthy. He had quit smoking. He was getting in shape. He was happy —that's all I know.”
“I was literally texting with him that morning, funny Matty. He was not in pain. He wasn't struggling. He was happy,” said the ‘Wanderlust’ star.
“I want people to know he was really healthy, and getting healthy. He was on a pursuit,” shared Aniston before revealing, “He worked so hard. He really was dealt a tough one. I miss him dearly. We all do. Boy, he made us laugh really hard.”

Fans also mourned Matthew Perry's death once again as Aniston broke down into tears remembering him while recollecting fond memories as 'Friends' completes 30 years.
One of the fans commented online, "It is awful to lose a friend who you deeply loved, the pain is quite shocking, an experience that no doubt we will all go through, eventually you realise just how lucky you were to of known them and how precious your memories are."
"Jennifer cherish friendships in her life the most and Matthew said she had always contacted him. It's great how they stayed friends during and later after sitcom ended and there was no ego issues or being envy, Aniston and Schwimmer didn't wanted to be payed more, but equal," said someone else.
Another fan added, "Jennifer was undoubtedly his truest Friend of all the cast members. Matthew himself said she always kept in touch and helped him attempt to conquer his fatal addiction. Chandler, could you BE any more missed? Rest In Peace."
"I watched the interview - she was asked about Friends turning 30 and she got emotional," shared another fan.
"The world misses you Matthew, I hope you found peace," said someone else.
