WASHINGTON, DC: A plan to present Melania Trump as a 'softer, more moderate voice' for the Trump campaign is reflected in her headline fundraiser later this month, sources close to the campaign told the New York Post.

While Donald Trump will attend the Log Cabin Republicans' dinner at Mar-a-Lago on April 20 with his wife, insiders informed that the campaign wants to highlight Melania as the feminine counterbalance to his aggressive manner and to do so consistently.

A source close to the campaign said, "The Trump campaign recognizes that Melania is their secret weapon. Her appeal is critical to win battleground states and undecided voters, especially now that they’ve won the primary and are hyper-focused on the general."

"This is just the beginning of using softer faces and voices as surrogates. They’re coming up with a more diverse picture — they’re trying to make voters feel more comfortable," Democratic strategist Hank Sheinkopf stated to the New York Post.

Even though Melania is anticipated to present a 'friendly face' throughout the upcoming months on the campaign trail, competitors circulated 'Missing Melania' fliers in advance of the Iowa Caucus in January due to her prior absence.
