LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Matthew Perry’s 'Friends' co-stars, including Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, and Matt LeBlanc, are under stress due to allegations of abuse against the '17 Again' star after his unfortunate death.

In the wake of his tragic death in October 2023, sources claimed that the '17 Again' actor had been "verbally, emotionally and physically abusive" and had "assaulted women" including ex-fiancee Molly Hurwitz.

A recent story claimed that Matthew Perry had an array of unresolved issues in his closet before his tragic death.

In an unsettling cover article for Us Weekly, three anonymous sources revealed that the 'Friends' star had a history of abuse and had lied about his sobriety for years.

According to one insider, Perry "wasn’t a horrible human being. [But] he was so warped in his addiction that he wasn’t himself and the man he should be."

Perry stated that he had been sober for 18 months when he calculated in October 2022 that he had spent $9 million trying to get sober.

Insiders now claim that the allegations hurt the late actor's co-stars. It has been alleged that Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and Jennifer Aniston—a close friend of Perry's—were hurt by the actor's allegations.

An insider said, "They all want to remember the kind and loving Matthew they know. It’s appalling he’s getting torn apart when he’s not here to defend himself," per OK! Magazine.

The insider also mentioned that as September 2024, the 30th anniversary of the adored sitcom, draws near, the cast is worried about how this would impact their careers.

The insider further added, "They have a vested interest in keeping the Friends brand thriving since there are streaming deals to be renewed and lucrative reunions to be organized. Having the brand tainted by association is a massive headache."

"They depend on those residuals," the insider went on. "Friends money has allowed them all to be extremely picky about the work they’ve chosen ever since."

Perry died on October 28, 2023. After being discovered unconscious in his hot tub at his Los Angeles residence, it was determined that he had died from "acute effects of Ketamine."

Jennifer Aniston 'saddened' by abuse allegations involving Matthew Perry

Jennifer Aniston is allegedly in anguish following the allegations involving her late 'Friends' co-star.

Their friendship dates back to before they were cast as Rachel Green and Chandler Bing, respectively, in the popular US comedy of the 1990s. She acknowledged that the loss "cut deep" when he died in October 2023, at the age of 54.

The 54-year-old 'Morning Show' star put up a brave front as she arrived at the Critics Choice Awards. She told media on the red carpet that she wished people to "celebrate Matthew," but she refrained from addressing charges of abuse, per The Standard.

According to a source, Aniston and the other main cast members of 'Friends' are currently feeling "stressed" about the circumstances.

"The last thing they want to do is to have to give these awful claims any sort of weight by even addressing them, but they’re all very stressed and saddened by this tidal wave of negativity towards Matthew and not sure how to proceed," said the insider.

The tipster added, "They all want to remember the kind and loving Matty that they knew."

According to earlier claims made by insiders, Perry also mistreated a woman he described in his memoir as his best friend. He claimed in the memoir that Morgan Moss, whom he called Erin, quit her job for him after he "shoved" her into a wall.

A source explained to the Daily Mail, "Morgan was no longer working with Matthew. He had a horrible breakdown and in the heat of the moment he could not control his emotions. He had a fear that he was going to be abandoned. He shoved Morgan into a wall and threw her onto a bed. She left."
