Ivanka Trump slammed for gushing over Costa Rica's 'raw beauty' amid luxe vacation: 'Babe, read the room'

PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: It looks like President Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka just wanted to ride the waves of zen and gratitude, but her haters weren't having it.
Ivanka recently faced backlash on social media after dropping a glossy, sun-soaked Instagram post from her luxe Costa Rica getaway—complete with bikini surfing shots, horseback rides on the beach, and a side of spiritual reflection, the Irish Star reported.

Ivanka Trump slammed got 'tone deaf' vacation post
Ivanka Trump, 43, shared the tropical escape on Tuesday, April 22, writing in a lengthy and flowery caption.
“Grateful doesn’t begin to cover it. Spending Passover and Easter week surrounded by the raw beauty of Costa Rica was a gift beyond words. Time slowed. We surfed under golden skies, zipped through the jungle canopy, leapt into cool waterfalls, read until the sun dipped low, and surrendered to stillness and deep sleep," she wrote.

“But more than the adventure, this week was about reconnecting—with the Earth, with faith, and with one another. Logging off and tuning in. Grounding in nature’s rhythm. Feeling the sacred in the silence, in the laughter of my children, in the breath of the trees,” Ivanka continued, adding, “My heart is full of gratitude for these moments of togetherness and renewal. Wishing you all the same kind of peace and presence, wherever you are. Pura vida. Shalom.”

While the vacation does sound poetic, Ivanka's critics on social media were not vibing with it.
"Tone deaf much?" one fumed in the comments section of her Instagram post.
Another told her, "Babe, read the room," while a third added, "While your father dismantles democracy. Enjoy your waves, though."
One commented, "So tone deaf. You and your family are complicit in the destruction of this nature you claim to love so much. Suggest you stop posting narcissistic pictures of yourself and actually try and use your position for some good this time around."
Another remarked, "Some people didn’t have food to eat, but you keep doing you."
Someone else chimed in, "It’s not paradise when locals can’t afford to live here."
Another asked, "You are giving the word 'privileged' a face, @ivankatrump?"

Ivanka Trump's friendship with sister-in-law Karlie Kloss
While critics debated her sense of timing, Ivanka Trump was clearly feeling herself. The mom-of-three skipped the traditional White House Easter festivities to embrace beach life with Jared Kushner and their kids — Arabella (13), Joseph (10), and Theodore (8).
Also tagging along were Jared’s brother Joshua Kushner and his supermodel wife Karlie Kloss.
Ivanka made sure to show love for Karlie’s growing family, too. The post came just weeks after she publicly “liked” Kloss’s pregnancy announcement, celebrating baby number three for the couple.
Back in 2019, Karlie subtly shaded Ivanka in a British Vogue interview, admitting it was “hard” having someone like her in the family. The model is a proud Democrat, and she and Jared’s sister-in-law don’t exactly share talking points.
Still, insiders insist the feud is overblown.
“They’re in the same family, and they spend time at family events together; they also have an overlapping social circle in Miami,” a source told Daily Mail. “They may not be best friends, but it’s wide off the mark to say they don’t get along.”
Vanity and vacations
Of course, no Trump family update would be complete without a little shade from someone in their own orbit. A family friend didn’t waste time roasting the rebrand.
“Now they’re no longer big players in Washington, they have all the time in the world to cultivate their good looks. They’ve always been especially vain,” they recently told the Daily Mail.
Still, not everyone was outraged. Ivanka's loyal fans chimed in with surfboard emojis and good vibes.
“I love this... and I’m obsessed with your surfing skills,” one commented.
“Very cool and happy to know that you and the family had a great time in the Pura Vida country," another gushed.
