Ivanka Trump confirms she will not return to public service

Ivanka Trump said during the interview, “The main reason I am not going back to serve now is I know the cost and it’s a price that I’m not willing to make my kids bear.”

She was asked if she had gotten pushback on this decision and she replied that it is a question she gets “a lot”. She said, “It’s very easy to make a decision when it aligns around your core values.”

She continued, “My highest most core value is family” and added that her children were “much younger,” presumably during her father’s last time in office, so it was “easier to not be present.”

However, now they are “teenagers” and “about to be teenagers” which makes her “physical presence” more important for them, per the outlet.

Ivanka’s decision to stay out of politics isn’t something new. When Donald Trump announced he was planning for his second presidential run in 2022, she shared her adoration for him explaining why she would be exiting.

She said, “I love my father very much. This time around, I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family. I do not plan to be involved in politics.”

Furthermore, In July 2024, Ivanka spoke about the “dark world” of politics on ‘The Lex Fridman’ podcast and mentioned that there’s a “lot of negativity” and it was “at odds” with what felt right for her as a human, per the outlet.
