PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Ivanka Trump grabbed eyeballs by appearing on stage alongside her father, president-elect Donald Trump, at the Palm Beach County Convention Center on Tuesday, when the latter delivered his victory speech following the 2024 general election.

The 43-year-old looked stunning in a sharp blue suit at the event, but for many spectators, her choice of colors caused much speculation.

The color blue is more closely associated with the Democratic Party, shared the publication, while the Republicans, who swept the election under the leadership of Trump were known by the color red.

As such, Ivanka's election night suit was considered to be one of her "biggest acts of rebellion against Donald Trump so far," according to The List.

Ivanka Trump's stance against Donald Trump

Though she served as a White House adviser during the first Trump administration, the former first daughter had stayed out of the spotlight throughout the GOP nominee's recent campaign and is even expected not to return to Washington when Donald Trump takes office.

Ivanka was so determined to separate herself from the Trump campaign that even her post on the eve of the election made no mention of her father's campaign. She instead chose to focus on the lessons she had learned over four decades of her life.

Her decision to wear blue with her father on stage is thus considered too significant by The List to be a coincidence. Instead, the publication claims that she took a public stand against her father on Election Day.

Internet reacts to Ivanka Trump's dress

Netizens had varied takes on Ivanka Trump's blue election day suit, with many deciding to mock her on the social media platform X. The following tweets demonstrate their takes.

"'And all of a sudden, thousands of robins were set free, and they flew down and brought this blinding light of love. And it seemed like that love would be the only thing that would make any difference. And it did. So, I guess it means there is trouble 'til the robins come'- movie quote from BLUE VELVET… because Ivanka’s pantsuit deserves its own moment," posted a user.

"Ivanka wore this tacky blue suit to stick it to Trump," noted another.

"Ivanka is wearing blue. That is certainly a choice. We see you girl. Smile if you need help," stated one user.

"Ivanka is definitely sending a message by wearing that blue outfit. Damn. I’m surprised she showed up after all," observed someone else.

"Yes yes, Ivanka, we got the message: The blue haute couture pantsuit more than told us you support the liberal Democrats but you also are supporting your dad as family. Yeah yeah. Boring little woman," tweeted one more.

"Strange that Ivanka is dressed in all blue. She’s a liberal you know," chided yet another.

"Just an observation, but did anyone notice @IvankaTrump wore a BLUE suit last night. We all know that was not an accident," expressed one more user.
