WASHINGTON, DC: Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner would not be moving back into the White House after her father, president-elect Donald Trump won a second term in the Oval Office, Page Six reported on Wednesday, November 6.

After keeping away from the spotlight throughout Trump's presidential campaign, the couple appeared on stage along with the entire Trump family in Palm Beach, Florida, when Trump delivered his victory speech.

Even as Ivanka is set to reprise her role as the First Daughter, she has no plans to return to the political fray with Jared. The two 43-year-olds have spent the last few years settling down in Miami with their three children, Arabella Rose, Joseph Frederick, and Theodore James.

Why do Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner not want to return to the White House?

Both Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner had worked as advisers to the first Trump administration between 2017 and 2020, and the tumultuous life had taken a toll on them. Some of their more liberal friends drew away from them during that time, multiple sources have confirmed to Page Six.

“Ivanka is proud of her father, she loves him, but his last presidency took its toll," shared a close source. "There were friends who turned their back on Ivanka and Jared because of Donald, and that was hurtful. Now she has a great life, her thoughts are she does not need to be working in the White House to make a difference.”

Ivanka now stays with her husband and children on Indian Creek Island with friends Tom Brady, and Jeff Bezos and his fiancee, Lauren Sanchez as neighbors.

Ivanka Trump continues to look forward to having an impact on public life

During her time at the White House, Ivanka Trump worked on the education and economic empowerment of women and families. Even though she will not be returning to DC, she remains hopeful of continuing to have an impact on similar important issues.

"I expect that we could see Ivanka work with tech leaders and talk about child safety on the internet, as well as her concerns about child trafficking, that’s the kind of thing she concentrated on in the White House,” said the source. “I think we’ll see her utilize her power in that way.”

Another source close to the family added, "Ivanka has been remarkably consistent for two years and right now she is focused on her family and the needs of her children."

"She doesn’t plan to be in politics. If she has something she wants to say, she will speak with her father about it directly, and privately…If that changes and she decides she wants to advocate for various policies, she will say it publicly.”

Both Ivanka and Jared are expected to make appearances as needed to help the transition team, confirmed other sources.

"Ivanka is not preparing to re-enter political life, but there are whispers that she could make key appearances and support the idea of the American family,” stated another Miami source. "Ivanka is prepped to do all the family walks at some point… but has no plans to enter the political fray.”
