WEST HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA: Jack Russell, the former lead vocalist of the rock band Great White, has died at the age of 63. According to his band, Russell died on August 15, surrounded by his family, which included his wife Heather Ann, son Matthew Hucko, cousins, and a few friends.

His death symbolizes the end of a significant chapter for numerous rock enthusiasts who fondly recall his impactful contributions to the genre.

Jack Russell's cause of death

Speaking for the Russell family, KL Doty told TMZ multiple system atrophy and Lewy body dementia were the causes of Jack Russell's death. Last month, upon retiring from touring, he disclosed his diagnosis on Instagram, highlighting that both conditions affect motor skills.

Jack Russells work and achievements

Russell attempted a solo career after singing for 'Great White' from 1981 to 1996. He returned to Great White following the release of his first solo album and remained there until the band disbanded in 2001.

Russell then renamed the band to Jack Russell's Great White, which was the band implicated in the 2003 Rhode Island nightclub fire that resulted in 100 fatalities.
