LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: President Joe Biden is once again under scrutiny from Fox News host and Trump confidant Sean Hannity, who has been a persistent critic using various derivatives of the 'Sleepy Joe' smear. However, following the State of the Union address, Hannity took a different tack, criticizing Biden for sounding "like a hyper-caffeinated, angry old man."

In Hannity's words, Biden's delivery was "so at odds with the everyday Joe it’s even frightening to me," framing it as a departure from the president's usual demeanor.

Joe Biden was 'shouting' and 'overcompensating' claims Sean Hannity

According to the dailybeast, Hannity asserted that Biden spent a considerable portion of the night "shouting, speeding through his speech, and clearly overcompensating from the normal, everyday Joe that can barely string two sentences together." This repeated line of attack reflects Hannity's ongoing narrative about Biden's purported diminished mental state.

“He spent most the night shouting, speeding through his speech, and clearly overcompensating from the normal, everyday Joe that can barely string two sentences together,” he reiterated.

Hannity made a concerted effort to emphasize this perspective to his viewers, who have been accustomed to months of speculation about Biden's mental acuity.

Deciphering the 'feisty' assessment and Sean Hannity's response

Hannity highlighted a comment from the Associated Press, stating that they "affectionately" described Biden’s State of the Union address as “feisty.” With a smirk, Hannity remarked, “I guess that’s one way to describe it. Tonight, America saw, um, let’s say a very different Joe Biden. I might call him ‘Jacked-up Joe,’ and that’s being charitable. He sounded like a hyper-caffeinated, angry old man.”

Interestingly, Hannity refrained from immediately offering his take on the GOP’s response to Biden’s address, particularly the remarks delivered by Alabama Sen. Katie Britt, who faced online mockery for her perceived "theatrical" and "warbly-voiced performance."

Instead, Fox anchor Martha MacCallum provided her characterization, describing Britt’s remarks as “soft and strong.”

Online reactions to 'Jacked-up Joe'

Online reactions to Sean Hannity's coined nickname for President Biden, "Jacked-up Joe," have been mixed.

One user wrote, "Name calling? I would have thought that they would have evolved to ringing door bells and running by now."

Another added, "MAGA is hilarious. They are under the delusion that if trump gets back in gas prices will be $2 and bread will be $1 News flash that's not going to happen."

One user wrote," Said Biden was jacked up!!!"

Another wrote, "Old Joe was like an Overly Caffeinated Velociraptor. "MAGA this and MAGA that. It's not my fault, it was the Other Guy. MAGA MAGA MAGA" !!!!"

One commented, So this is the republican plan. Name-calling? Like some 8th-grade bully? Doesn't even make for a good sound bit. Grow up, Republicans. Do better."
