New Jersey father Christopher Gregor is on trial for death of 6-year-old son
In New Jersey, a father is currently on trial for the tragic death of his son, Corey Micciolo. The incident occurred when the father, Christopher Gregor allegedly forced his son to run on a treadmill at a local gym until the 6-year-old child collapsed multiple times.
Corey's mother, Bre Micciolo, reported the injuries sustained by Corey during this incident to authorities, which led to his hospitalization on April 1.
Surveillance footage from the Atlantic Heights Clubhouse fitness center captured the distressing scenes of Corey repeatedly falling off the treadmill while his father, Gregor, continued to lift him back on.
Reports even suggest that Gregor appeared to bite his son on the back of the head before compelling him to resume running.
Subsequent medical examinations and autopsy revealed severe injuries, including "blunt force trauma" to Corey's chest and abdomen, lacerations, contusions to vital organs, and signs of chronic abuse. These findings ultimately led to the determination of Corey's death as a homicide.
Gregor now faces serious charges, including murder, with the potential of 30 years to life in prison if convicted.
