LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jamie Foxx reportedly shared more details about the mysterious health scare he experienced in Georgia during filming for 'Back in Action' with Cameron Diaz in 2023.

The Oscar-winning actor, 56, recounts the ordeal in his Netflix special, 'Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was…' premiering on December 10.

Demecos Chambers describes Jamie Foxx’s harrowing ordeal on 'Back in Action' set

In an October taping of the Netflix special in Atlanta, audience member Demecos Chambers revealed to People that Jamie Foxx shared how close he was to death.

“He was literally seconds and moments away from death,” Chambers reveals what Foxx has said.

Foxx explained that his collapse was caused by “pure exhaustion,” adding, “His body was just exhausted due to him getting up there in age, and his body just faltering out on him,” Chambers recalled.

Foxx collapsed in an elevator and not near the film set and initially believed he was only unconscious for a short time although he had been in Coma for weeks.

“When he passed out, he thought he was just out for a few moments,” Chambers shared.

“He basically passed out in an elevator and he thought he woke up a couple hours later. Well, he was actually in a coma and didn’t wake up until a few weeks later.”

Jamie Foxx's daughter's daily singing sessions woke him from coma

Jamie Foxx’s daughter played an important role in bringing him out of the coma with songs and guitar. Foxx has two daughters Corinne Foxx and Anelise.

“She’s playing one of their favorite songs or whatever on a daily basis. And he said that’s the only thing that he could recall hearing in his sleep, and it brought him essentially out of his coma,” Chambers told People.

Foxx’s journey back to health was far from easy, after he woke up, he went to a "rehab facility" and he talked about "his motor skills."

Chamber said he "had to start from day one."

Jamie Foxx balances humor and honesty in Netflix  special

Although the story is intense, Chambers noted Jamie Foxx’s ability to keep the audience entertained.

“While he's telling the story, he's throwing bits in there left and right,” Chambers said. “It's stand-up comedy. He's dancing a little bit. He's playing songs on the piano.”

Fox addressed the health scare and rumors surrounding it first time in July 2023 in an Instagram video.

"I cannot even begin to tell you how far it took me and how it brought me back," Foxx said.

Foxx again reflected on his health scare in an Instagram post in October.

He wrote, “My heart and my soul is filled with nothing but pure joy” after he “had an opportunity to tell my side of the story” at the event.
