Jason Kelce sparks comparisons with Bob the Builder over ‘Monday Night Countdown’ look

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jason Kelce has endeared himself with the majority of NFL fans through his legendary association with the Philadelphia Eagles for over a decade. 

As the 36-year-old retired center has started the second innings of his career as an NFL analyst, he did it in his unique style. 

On Monday, September 30, Jason appeared on ESPN's 'Monday Night Countdown' wearing an outfit that led many fans to compare him to the beloved cartoon character Bob the Builder.

Jason Kelce appeared on 'Monday Night Countdown' ahead of the doubleheader wearing an ensemble of jeans, a plaid jacket, and a pair of chunky boots that he left untied. 

Soon, fans took to the internet to compare his outfit to that of the animated character Bob the Builder, who similarly dons denim jeans, a check shirt and a similar pair of boots. 

Kelce retired from the field in March 2024. Per Newsweek, several networks including NBC and CBS were eager to snag him as their analyst. He, however, chose ESPN as his choice of network.

As Jason Kelce's 'Monday Night Countdown' outfit went viral, fans started drawing hilarious comparisons to Bob the Builder.

One of the fans commented on Facebook while urging him to do the voice of the animated character as well during his analysis, "Well if Jason is actually doing this character (voice) I think it's great, to embrace his role as a father and role model for his children 💙❤️."

Someone, however, advised him to tie his boots the next time, saying, "Maybe he should tie his boots🤦."

Another fan directly referenced the popular tagline of the cartoon, saying, "Can we fix it?" and attaching a GIF with the text, "Hell yes."

Another social media user noted that Kelce looked quite similar to Bob the Builder, saying, "Yes, yes it is!"

Someone else, meanwhile, joked, "No That’s Bob the builders son, Bobson."

However, fans did not stop at comparing his looks to that of Bob the Builder only, as his look was equated with an array of other characters as well. 

One of the fans quipped, "Jason Kelce look like he’s going to a Philly parent teacher conference 🤣 #MNF."

Someone else chimed in, "This outfit @JasonKelce is wearing on Monday night countdown is 100% how someone who works from home dresses thinking no one will see the bottom half of them the untied boots are so PA coded. I think they might have cast the wrong brother in Happy Gilmore 2."

"Tell us how playing in Philly impacted you without saying it @JasonKelce 😂," joked another.

😂 I love Jason’s outfit, it just screamed Adam Sandler in either Happy Gilmore or Billy Madison!
