Jaxson Dart’s NY Giants teammate blasts him over Trump rally appearance: ‘Thought this was AI’
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: What began as an enthusiastic moment for Jaxson Dart when he invited President Donald Trump onto the rally stage soon spiraled into a firestorm, as the quarterback found himself facing intense backlash not only from fans but also from one of his own teammates.
The 23-year-old New York Giants quarterback, selected as a first-round pick in 2025, on Friday, May 22, introduced the president at a campaign-style rally for Republican Rep Mike Lawler in Suffern, New York.
Trump praises Giants QB Jaxson Dart at rally
Walking out on stage to deliver some opening remarks with 'Eye of the Tiger' playing in the background, Dart said, “I'm grateful, I'm honored, I'm pleased to introduce the 45th and 47th president of the United States of America, President Donald J Trump."

Trump also returned the favor on stage by calling Dart a “future Hall of Famer” and a “beautiful guy,” saying the quarterback had “a lot of talent” and comparing his legs to tree trunks.
While talking about his policy ideas, Trump routinely brought Dart into the discussion.
"I'm looking at Jaxson," Trump said. "I’d like to know, is there any woman in the audience who thinks they can tackle that guy? Because I'd like to meet you. I’d like to shake your hand. I don’t know. Jaxson, you think you can play against women, OK?"
Abdul Carter reacts to Jaxson Dart’s Trump rally appearance
Dart’s appearance and warm introduction for Trump did not appear to sit well with his New York Giants teammate Abdul Carter, who later reacted to the viral moment on social media with a blunt remark.
Carter reposted the rally clip and appeared stunned by the moment, even questioning whether the video had been created using AI.

“Thought this sh*t was AI, what we doing man,” the Giants linebacker quoted in the post.
However, soon after the post took the internet by storm, Carter insisted that he and Dart were back on good terms. “Me & JD6 are good! We spoke earlier as Men. Y'all can keep y'all narratives,” he stated.

Giants offensive tackle Jermaine Eluemunor also chimed in, writing in an X post: “Locker room is fine. Focus on New England.”
Carter, the No. 3 overall pick last year, appeared in all 17 games for the Giants. Dart, the No. 25 pick, began the 2025 season as a backup to Russell Wilson before taking over as the starter for 12 games.
Carter was not the only NFL player to react critically to Jaxson Dart’s appearance at the rally. Cam Jordan of the New Orleans Saints also weighed in, posting “sounds about Ole Miss” in response to the viral clip.
