WASHINGTON, DC: Vice President JD Vance was brutally mocked online for wearing ill-fitted clothes during the American Compass Fifth Anniversary Gala on Tuesday, June 3.

The Vice President spoke at the event with Oren Cass, wearing a suit and bowtie, but the outfit looked too tight on him, NickiSwift reported.

The GOP leader spoke on a wide range of topics, including current political realignment and the importance of conservative economics. But people online were more focused on his tuxedo.

An X user posted on the platform, “Vance seems like a 19th century politician. He needs a cigar to finish the look.”

Another asked, “Do ALL of his clothes have to be too small?”

One person wrote, “Hillbilly Elegy looks like he put on at least 30lbs since he took office..stress eating..Lil Marco as well..this Administration isn't good 4 ur waistline.”

Another commented, “They ALWAYS wear clothes that are too small, too short, too tight. Like they’re not already unattractive enough!”

Another remarked, “His clothes always look too small on him.”

Someone else added, “Yes, tailored to match his brain.”

JD Vance's pants became point of attraction earlier this year

However, this was not the first time JD Vance has been targeted for his choice of clothes.

The 40-year-old was made fun of for his pants during the opening of the 2025 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), The Daily Beast reported.

His pants were so short that they left him to show some of his leg skin.

In an Instagram reel, social media creator Peggy Shinners asked, “I needed to know if his pants were always too short, did he put them in the dryer? They are always that short!”

“There’s always just a lil' peek of the right shin coming right on out. It’s sending me, I can’t take it. This is absurd, it looks crazy!” she added.

Menswear commentator Derek Guy also commented on the issue at the time. He said, “The second lady should advise him to get wider pants and over the calf socks so that his bare leg doesn’t show when he sits down.”

“Why do they have our beloved JD Vance out here with tiny pants?!!  Make pants great again for VANCE!” an X user had added.
