GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN: Senator JD Vance (R-OH) accused Vice President Kamala Harris of being a career politician who has done nothing "other than collect a check".

Vance delivered a speech at a MAGA rally for the first time since being nominated as Donald Trump's 2024 running mate. The Ohio legislator spoke to thousands who had gathered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to listen to the former president.

JD Vance claims Kamala Harris accused him of having 'no loyalty to this country'

The teams of Kamala Harris and JD Vance are in talks to schedule a debate between the two candidates before the November election. Vance has not agreed to participate in a vice presidential debate with Harris, MediaITE reported.

On Saturday, July 20, Vance asserted that Harris initiated the conflict between them by accusing him of having "no loyalty to this country".

Vance remarked, "The vice president, Kamala Harris, she doesn’t like me. Kamala Harris said something to the effect that I have no loyalty to this country. Well, I don’t know, Kamala. I did serve in the United States Marine Corps and build a business."

He further asked, "What the hell have you done other than collect a check? What? What has she done other than collect the check from her political offices?"

"And we have to." he continued, "We have to give her credit, my friends. She did serve as voter. This is our during the biggest disaster open border that we’ve ever had in this country."

Supporting Trump, Vance said, "Let’s get President Trump back there, close down that border and bring some common sense and security to this country."

JD Vance urges President Joe Biden to 'resign' from office

In addition to criticizing Kamala Harris, JD Vance highlighted the inconsistency among Democratic officials who are urging President Joe Biden to withdraw from the presidential race without also calling for his resignation from the presidency.

“Everyone calling on Joe Biden to *stop running* without also calling on him to resign the presidency is engaged in an absurd level of cynicism,” Vance said. “If you can't run, you can't serve."

“He should resign now,” Vance declared.

Vance's remarks coincide with prominent Democrats urging Biden to withdraw before the DNC, proposing that the party select a different presidential nominee.

Kamala Harris criticized for her comment on JD Vance's 'loyalty'

Once JD Vance's speech hit the internet, there was immediate criticism of Kamala Harris for her comment on JD Vance's "loyalty".

One social media user wrote, "She was mostly raised in Canada, her dad is Jamaican and her mom from India, so how dare she question his loyalty to America."

Another user added, "That’s a valid question. As far as I can tell, all Kamala has done is let in over 10 million illegals as border czar and traveled around the world on our dime."

The third commentator mocked Harris saying, "And she said that to a military vet! They’re having trouble figuring out what to ding him on."

"Kamala Harris, the "Border Czar" abdicated her duty to America, opened the Border to chaos, poverty, and crime that devastated our country. She might have a loyalty issue. God bless our next VP, JD Vance," one said.

Another added, "I agree. It is her that has no loyalty to our country."
