The day began with JD Vance’s swearing-in ceremony at the US Capitol Rotunda, where his wife, Usha Vance, and their children—Ewan Blaine, 7, Vivek, 4, and Mirabel Rose, 3—stood proudly by his side.

The boys, dressed in matching navy suits, looked dapper, while Mirabel added an adorable touch to the solemn event as she was seen hoping around during the parade.

As Vance took the oath, little Mirabel nestled in her mother’s arms, thumb firmly planted in her mouth.

Observant viewers noted her fingers were adorned with bandages, a detail that social media users reportedly called “so sweet” and “so toddler-like".

Later, during the inaugural parade, the Vance children continued to charm. Ewan and Vivek, clearly exhausted from the day’s excitement, slumped over a balcony.

Vivek clung to a teddy bear, a sight that resonated with parents everywhere.

In a TikTok video that quickly went viral, Ewan playfully patted his father’s head, then moved on to do the same to his mother, Usha.

She smiled warmly but gently encouraged him to stop as she fixed her hair—a moment that had viewers gushing about the family’s authenticity.

JD Vance and wife Usha aim to give their children a 'stable, happy life'

As the Vance family settles into their new roles, Usha has signaled her intention to shield her children from the pressures of public life.

Her goal, she said, is to “let them have their lives as children".

Usha, the new Second Lady, has made it clear that her focus will remain on her family, per DailyMail.

“Giving them a stable, normal, and happy life and upbringing is the most important thing to us,” she shared in a rare interview with 'Fox and Friends'.

She emphasized the importance of letting their children enjoy their childhood and spending ample time with their father.

At just 40 years old, JD Vance is the youngest vice president since Richard Nixon assumed the role at the same age in 1953.

The last time young children occupied the Vice Presidential residence was when Al and Tipper Gore were in office in 1993.

The Vances’ new home—a sprawling 9,000-square-foot residence with 33 rooms, a wraparound porch, grand staircases, and elegant turrets—will undoubtedly provide a beautiful backdrop for wonderful family memories.
