Jelly Roll's wife Bunnie XO defends singer after viral video of him picking nose: 'My husband has a tic'
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Jelly Roll's wife, Bunnie XO, is standing behind the country music artist following what many are referring to as 'Boogergate', where he was caught on camera picking his nose during a UFC event at Madison Square Garden.
Bunnie addressed the situation on the most recent episode of her 'Dumb Blonde' podcast and confirmed that Jelly was indeed "knuckle deep in his freaking nose" at the New York City event that was packed with celebrities, per Parade.
Bunnie XO says Jelly Roll has 'little tic' and occasionally picks his nose when anxious
The 'Dumb Blonde' podcast host candidly addressed a recent viral video that appeared to show Jelly Roll seemingly picking his nose and eating it, suggesting that things might not be as straightforward as they seem.
The 39-year-old 'Liar' singer gained widespread attention after being spotted skulking on camera during Saturday, November 16, UFC 309 event at Madison Square Garden. Jelly sat in the video behind Elon Musk, Kid Rock, and Donald Trump.
"Everybody says he ate it, but I saw him roll it in his hand first and kind of flick it, and then just touch his mouth," Bunnie explained, denying that he had eaten the booger as some had claimed.
Bunnie did mention that Jelly has "a little tic," and that "when he’s nervous, he picks his f***ing nose." She went on to say that she frequently has to intervene to stop him.
"But for everybody who wants to say he did… First of all, my husband has a little tic, OK? He’s always had a little tic, and when he’s nervous, he picks his f***ing nose," Bunnie, 44, added.
Bunnie said that although she is frequently present to break the habit, it isn't a huge deal even if she isn't because he "normally doesn’t eat them."
"The fact that the world is like, ‘Oh my God, I can’t believe Jelly Roll f***ing is eating a booger…’ And for those who said they can believe, you know who we f***ing are,"
She told fans who weren't shocked by Jelly's behavior, "You know who we f***ing are...We’re dirtbags. We pride ourselves on being dirtbags. Let the man eat his damn f***ing booger."
In closing, Bunnie sent a stern message to the individual who initially shared the video: "The man does so much good in this world, and the lady that posted this… Come on, man. This man is a f***ing angel on earth who does nothing but good for people."

Bunnie XO has been one of her husband Jelly Roll's greatest supporters
The Grammy nominee revealed in People's most recent cover story that, despite their hectic schedules, he and his wife never spend more than two weeks apart. Bunnie XO has long been one of her husband Jelly Roll's strongest supporters.
"Fourteen days has been our rule kind of from the beginning. We actually just implemented that same rule with our 16-year-old [daughter Bailee]. Because we realized that we were going a month or two at a time without seeing her, and I was like, this just needs to be family," Jelly said at the time.
Furthermore, Jelly commended Bunnie as "the person you show up to when the chips are down" and stated that spending time with his family is his top priority.
The 'All My Life' singer is the father of a 16-year-old daughter named Bailee and an 8-year-old son named Noah from past relationships.
"I prioritize family and that’s what anchors me down. My world shrunk when I focused on one woman," Jelly gushed.
Bunnie also maintained by praising Jelly, whom she married in 2016, stating that instead of dwelling on a negative viral moment, fans ought to concentrate more on the positive things he does.
Speaking at the 'Dumb Blonde' podcast, Bunnie equally gushed over her husband and said, "I don't care. I love my little Boogie Roll." She added that Jelly's social faux pas do not bother her as well.
