Jennifer Garner finds ex-husband Ben Affleck’s smoking habit ‘disgusting’, JLo has ‘different views’
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jennifer Garner seems to have reached her limit with Ben Affleck's smoking habit. Insiders close to Garner indicate that although she gets along well with her 51-year-old ex-husband and his new wife, Jennifer Lopez, there is one obstacle she is unable to overcome.
Disclosing details about the 'Alias' star's opinion on Affleck's smoking habit, an insider stated, "Jen and JLo have very different views on it," as reported by OK Magazine.
'JLo is grateful Ben is sober'
While Garner considers her ex-husband Affleck's smoking habit 'disgusting', the insider revealed what Jennifer Lopez thinks about it. "JLo is grateful Ben is sober, and if he needs to smoke to get through the day, it’s better than falling off the wagon," said the source.
The source further spilled, "She has strict rules that she expects Ben to follow, like not lighting up around the kids." The 'Juno' actress has set some boundaries for the 'Good Will Hunting' actor when it is comes to their three children: Violet, 18, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 11.
Speaking about Garner not approving of Affleck's smoking habit, the insider claimed,"Jen's been very good about not poking her nose into Ben's affairs. But this is putting her patience to the test."
JLo trusts Ben Affleck
Although Lopez and Garner have diametrically opposed opinions regarding smoking, the 'On The Floor' singer recently raved about how much she trusts Affleck, whom she married in 2022.
In a recent interview, Lopez spoke about her relationship with her husband. "We are real partners, not just in working together, but in life, as parents, as lovers, as a couple," she said.
She added, "We discuss everything with each other … I want his opinion, everything, because I trust him. I know he has the best intentions, he has no kind of agenda except to see me shine as bright as I can shine, and that's what I have for him, too, so I definitely always want his opinion."
Lopez, Affleck, and Garner have kept 'mature' relationships
According to another insider, Lopez, Affleck, and Garner have all generally kept up "mature" relationships and have tried to "make their children the focus of those relationships".
Garner's boyfriend, John Miller, who she has been dating intermittently since 2018, also fits in with this.
Regarding the developing friendship between the two guys, a source revealed, "Ben is super down-to-earth, and so is John. They have a mutual respect for each other and are always very friendly with one another."
