Jennifer Garner pens thank you message to her children's teachers amid daughter Violet's graduation

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jennifer Garner, Ben Affleck's ex-wife, is making headlines for writing a heartfelt note to her children's educators. 

This follows her decision to conclude the school year for her children, according to People.

Notably, Garner's daughter Violet, whom she shares with Affleck, is graduating from high school this year and heading off to college in the fall.

Garner marked the graduation event with poignant snapshots of her shedding tears during the ceremony, which she posted on social media.

The caption read, "Tell me you have a graduate without telling me you have a graduate. (bless our hearts)."

Jennifer Garner expresses gratitude to her children's teacher for being 'safe-haven'

In a heartfelt Instagram post on Thursday, June 13, actress and mother of three, Garner, expressed her gratitude to her children's teachers for their significant role in raising her kids. Garner shared screenshots of a note written on her phone, beginning by thanking the teachers for "caring about my children with me."

Garner penned, "Thank you for disciplining my kids when they've needed it and for offering more hugs than some children receive in a lifetime. Thank you for all of the hard work that goes into having high expectations, for buckling down and teaching them the discomfort and joy of tolerating frustration toward a greater good." 

She continued, "Thank you for choosing to study and become educators and for doing your jobs with your whole heart. I'm sure that the demands and frustrations of the classroom can obfuscate the mission behind you place in it, but what's more noble than teaching children, not a whole lot, as far as I can tell."

She continued by thanking them for "being a safe haven for my family" and providing her three children, Violet, 18, Samuel, 12, and Seraphina, 15, whom she shares with ex-husband Affleck, with a "safe space where they could focus on the business of being little, and where education and character were prioritized."

Garner also expressed appreciation for the teachers dressing up for Halloween, selecting books and science projects, traveling with students, and working on art projects.

She asserted on Instagram, “What I didn't know to want, teachers who were willing to dress up on theme for Halloween, to wait with baited breath for Zero the Hero to choose the perfect book/science project/Spanish song to travel with forty kids, to pay hockey at lunch, to spend months working toward an art fair or performance or the incredible feat of filling in a globe with its countries and capitals.” 

Garner concluded the quote, "Thank you for a beautiful thirteen years. I cannot imagine our family landing anywhere better. With deep respect and endless gratitude, Jen." 

In her caption, Garner reiterated many of her feelings as she reflected on this new transition for her family.

"A little gratitude for our wonderful family elementary school at the end of 13 years together applies to all educators: thank you for doing what you do. And congratulations to all the mamas out there with kids moving from one phase to the next."
