Jennifer Lopez says 'I like to apologize'
Jennifer Lopez also expressed her gratitude to fans who had been planning to attend her shows.
“When it comes up, I like to apologize to the fans because I know a lot of them were coming out,” Lopez said.
She recounted an encounter with fans in the UK who shared that they had planned to attend her concert.
“This was actually very touching,” she shared. “Coming out of the hotel yesterday, they were like, ‘I had tickets to go see you!’ And I was like, ‘I’m so sorry.’ He was like, ‘Don’t say sorry, we love you.’ I started crying right away,” said Lopez, according to People.
Lopez then spoke about her reaction upon realizing that the fan who had spoken to her outside the hotel was sitting front row at 'The Graham Norton Show'.
She approached him for a hug and recalled, “I got in the car and literally cried. Honestly, it was very hard for me to cancel, and I’ve never done that before. I’m sorry."
Jennifer Lopez hails fan support and spending quality time with family
During the emotional exchange, the fan reassured Jennifer Lopez that her supporters understood her decision to cancel the tour. She replied, “Okay, good,” and added, “I love my fans, oh my God,” before returning to her seat.
The summer provided Lopez with the opportunity to spend quality time with her children amid personal challenges as she filed for divorce from her ex-husband Ben Affleck in August.
However, she faced a bit of criticism due to her past relationship with Sean 'Diddy' Combs, especially after recent developments regarding his arrest, with some questioning why she hadn’t spoken out sooner.
