LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: According to a surprising claim, host Ken Jennings' confidence following his appointment as full-time host of 'Jeopardy!' has gone "straight to his head," and his ego is bigger than ever.

Jennings has taken over for Mayim Bialik following the death of long-time presenter Alex Trebek, who died in 2020 from cancer. Trebek was 80.

Ken Jennings' 'britches are bigger than ever'

Back in December, the 'Big Bang Theory' actress expressed her gratitude for the experience while announcing that she would no longer appear on the game show when Sony told her of their plan to have only one host for the upcoming season. The National Enquirer reported that Jennings' coworkers were "sorry to see" Bialik leave.

Insiders now claim that Jennings' "britches are bigger than ever, and they were pretty big before," as reported by RadarOnline.

"He complains when his suits don't fit, even when he's up and down on the scale," said tipsters who claim his actions have caused quite a commotion. "He wants more makeup, then says it's too much. He gets mad when people don't laugh at his jokes. He carries a grudge."

Before her departure, Bialik and Jennings shared hosting duties, but she stood out as a single host on the first season of 'Celebrity Jeopardy!'

According to the sources, Jennings was undoubtedly happy to be offered the full-time position when executives approached him. "He thinks he deserves the job. He keeps carrying on like he's the savior of the show," per the article.

Jennings earlier told The Hollywood Reporter that Bialik's leaving caught him off guard. "I loved working with my Mayim and I'm gonna miss her," Jennings said at the time.

"I loved growing up with Jeopardy where Alex was the host of that show for almost 38 years, and people just kind of felt like he was part of their family, and it's impossible to fill those shoes. But it's such an honor," Jennings said.

'Jeopardy!' faces criticism over 'woke' pronoun question

'Jeopardy!' got itself in hot water Monday, February 26, night when it included a clue on neopronouns during the 'Tournament of Champions' quarterfinal, with many viewers vowing never to watch again.

During the episode, competitor Cris Pannullo chose a $600 category titled 'Speech! Parts of Speech!' He was then given the clue "Xem, Xyrs, Xemself," to which he asked, "What are pronouns?"

"Those are pronouns," host Ken Jennings explained. "Neopronouns."

Xem, xyrs, and xemself are gender-neutral pronouns used by several individuals and organizations. They are used in conjunction with more common pronouns like she/her, he/him, and they/them, per Newsweek.

The prefix "neo" signifies "new"; neopronouns are new pronouns that are often used to avoid "he" or "she."

The show progressed rapidly, with Jennings and the contestants moving on to the next question, but many viewers were stunned to see a mention of neopronouns on the game show.

The introduction of this category on 'Jeopardy!' prompted controversy among several fans, who took to X, formerly Twitter, to vent their displeasure.

"Jeopardy asked about xem/xyrs/xemself 'pronouns' during last night's show. How would you answer this?" the account End Wokeness posted, and someone responded, "I will NEVER watch Jeopardy after this. After Alex, it all went downhill."

Another commenter said, "@jeopardy has gone woke! Goodbye favorite show. Won't watch."

'Jeopardy!' doesn't seem to have suffered as a result of the criticism that some social media users directed at the show for getting 'woke.' Indeed, as per the social media analytics website Social Blade, the quiz competition's Instagram account has acquired thousands of new followers in the last few days, suggesting that it is becoming increasingly popular.
