SPRINGDALE, ARKANSAS: Jessa Seewald (formerly Duggar) and her husband, Ben Seewald, have exciting news to share, the couple is expecting their sixth child!

Jessa, 32, revealed the pregnancy in an Instagram post, holding three ultrasound printouts with the caption, “Halfway to holding you in our arms!” This means she’s already several months along in her pregnancy, as reported by Intouch Weekly.

Jessa and Ben Seewald, 29, are no strangers to parenthood. The couple already has five children, Spurgeon (9), Henry (8), Ivy (5), Fern (3), and George (1). Their growing family brings them immense joy, but the journey hasn’t been without hardship. The couple previously suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage before welcoming George in 2023.

The Seewalds have always embraced the idea of a big family, though Jessa admits they weren’t necessarily planning for baby number five. In a YouTube Q&A, she reflected on her last pregnancy, “After our loss last year, we sort of thought we might take a break and not get pregnant for a while, but lo and behold, our surprise baby was on the way.”

Jessa and Ben have long expressed their desire for a house full of children. As the fifth of 19 children herself, Jessa grew up in a household where large families were the norm. She’s been open about wanting a big family of her own though not quite as large as her parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s.

Ben, an ordained pastor, has also spoken about his deep love for fatherhood. “There’s a lot of things that are awesome about being a dad. It’s a huge responsibility and a huge blessing at the same time,” he once shared.
