LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a fiery opening monologue on 'Jesse Watters Primetime', Fox News host Jesse Watters unleashed a scathing critique of President Biden, accusing him of effectively holding the Democratic Party "hostage" with his unwavering commitment to seek reelection in 2024.

"Tonight, Washington's in the middle of a hostage crisis after Joe Biden took the entire Democratic Party captive," Watters asserted.

Biden's abysmal performance against presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump in the first presidential debate hosted in Atlanta by CNN on June 27 sparked concerns about his fitness to hold the top office for another term.

There have been growing calls across the political spectrum for the incumbent to pull out of the presidential race, but Biden remains defiant as he insists he will go all out against presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump.

Democratic divisions exposed by Joe Biden's reelection commitment

Watters likened Biden's stance to a ransom demand, stating, "This morning, he sent a ransom note. I mean, a letter, with a list of demands telling the Democrats he's firmly committed to staying in this race, whether they like it or not."

Watters went on to highlight the internal strife within the Democratic ranks caused by Biden's insistence on running again.

"'Stick with me and no one gets hurt'. While Democrats are looking around saying, 'if we stick with you, we all get hurt'. If they lose, they're going to lose with him, not with anybody else."

Jesse Watters discusses media intervention in Joe Biden's political stand-off

In what he described as a classic hostage negotiation scenario, Watters humorously referenced attempts by media figures to intervene.

"Like all hostage negotiations, you bring a family member in to talk the hostage taker down," he quipped. "This morning 'Morning Joe' tried to talk to the President into releasing the hostages and resigning. It didn't go well," he quipped.

Watters didn't spare Biden's family from criticism either, alluding to Hunter Biden's controversies.

"Biden's bunkered up with Hunter holding the party hostage, screaming at 'Morning Joe' about the elites, the very people who put Joe in the White House and have been covering for him," he claimed, pointing out the irony of Biden's current position compared to the support he received during his ascent to the presidency.

In a poignant conclusion, Watters painted a vivid picture of Democratic discontent, portraying them as besiegers at the gates of power.

"Like a bunch of Arab Spring breakers, Democrats are gnashing their teeth at the gates of the White House, demanding Joe come out with his hands up," he remarked, encapsulating the frustration within the party regarding Biden's candidacy.
