I'm surprised Oliver Stone didn't correct him pic.twitter.com/RZKtBrqP72
Jesse Watters praises Val Kilmer for the wrong movie
Fox News anchor Jesse Watters, while paying tribute to Val Kilmer following his death, mistakenly credited him for starring in 'The Lost Boys', a film he never starred in.
During an interview with filmmaker Oliver Stone, Watters reflected on Kilmer’s career and brought up the movie.
Stone, who worked with Kilmer on 'The Doors', said he missed the actor who died on Tuesday, 3 April, at 65 due to pneumonia.
Watters responded, "Well, he was a great actor, Lost Boys was one of my favorite films when I was growing up, and, you know. God bless his family!"
However, Kilmer was never in the film. The vampire classic starred Kiefer Sutherland in the lead role.

The mistake did not go unnoticed, with many online users ridiculing Watters.
Carl Marino reacted, wrote, "Really @JesseBWatters, you closed out your interview with @TheOliverStone about @valkilmer saying that you loved The Lost Boys? Yeah, I loved it as well, unfortunately Val Kilmer wasn’t in it. Come on!"

A few pointed out that he acknowledged his mistake. One person wrote, "Lol. He corrected it at end of show."
However, others remained skeptical. "I know his show is popular but he doesn't seem particularly bright to me," wrote one user.
One user wrote, "Damn Jesse Watters, that was incredibly embarrassing. Oliver Stone be like, 'WTF are you talking about.' Val Kilmer was not in Lost Boys. Don't act like a fan. You're clearly not one. You derped the s**t out of that."
Another person checked the film’s cast list to verify, commenting, "...I had to check IMDB 4 to make sure he didn't have a minor role. Good catch."
Another added, "Lame. Jesse Watters obviously never saw the movie."

Yes I had to check IMBD 4 to make sure he didn't have a minor role. Good catch.
