Jessica Biel reportedly 'issues ultimatum' to Justin Timberlake as relationship tensions grow

BIG SKY, MONTANA: Singer Justin Timberlake and Actress Jessica Biel’s marriage has come under renewed scrutiny, with insiders revealing fresh details about the state of their relationship. Despite years of presenting a united front, recent developments suggest underlying tensions.

This comes after a resurfaced arrest video showed Timberlake being taken into custody for driving while intoxicated (DWI) in Sag Harbor on June 18, 2024, after failing to acknowledge a stop sign and veering out of his lane. The couple, married since 2012, is reportedly navigating challenges that have tested their long-standing bond.

Alongside scrutiny over Timberlake’s sobriety tests, there has been controversy surrounding photographs with a younger co-star and renewed criticism over his alleged treatment of Singer Britney Spears following the release of her memoir.

The family’s decision to relocate from Los Angeles to the remote mountains of Montana is also seen as a reflection of Biel’s preference for a more private life, in contrast to her husband’s continued presence in headlines. While Biel has largely avoided discussing some of her public controversies, sources told the Daily Mail that her stance may not remain unchanged from now on.

Biel has reportedly 'issued an ultimatum' to Timberlake, with a source claiming she wants him to address his behavior or risk the future of their marriage.

According to the source, the actress has grown increasingly frustrated with some of his recent actions, including his trip to Las Vegas to host the 8AM Invitational golf tournament at the Wynn resort, particularly in the wake of his DWI bodycam footage being released in March.

Footage from the bodycam showed him telling officers he had consumed “one martini” and was “following [his] friends home,” while also objecting to the sobriety tests and saying he was being treated “like a criminal,” as he attempted to explain that he was in the middle of a world tour.

The insider added that any further misstep could prompt Biel to take decisive action regarding their relationship.

Justin Timberlake’s past, legal troubles, and lifestyle strain marriage

Timberlake pleaded guilty to impaired driving in September 2024, agreeing to a $500 fine, 25 hours of community service, and a 90-day suspension of his license. As part of the plea deal, he also committed to delivering a public safety announcement on the dangers of drunk driving, with the original misdemeanor charge reduced to a noncriminal traffic violation.

Amid these developments, tensions within his marriage to Biel have reportedly intensified. "There's not much more she can take," a source said of her, claiming that Timberlake is "never home" despite his world tour wrapping last summer.

He further said, "She does everything with the kids and she's sick of being publicly embarrassed." A second insider said that Timberlake has long been known for enjoying himself, often seen with a drink in hand, from his early days with NSYNC to time spent at his restaurant and while on tour.

He further noted, "When he proposed to Jessica Biel, she basically told him to settle down, or she was out. She's not afraid to give him an ultimatum, but I don't see her leaving him anytime soon. They have been through a lot of deeply personal things together that have brought them closer. But it's like she doesn't know where he is or what he's doing half the time when she's not with him."

The couple, who first met in 2007 and went on to have an on-and-off relationship over the next four years, briefly split in March 2011. They reconciled by November that year, with Timberlake proposing to Biel the following month.
