Stunned Whoopi Goldberg questions Jessica Biel's 'gross' shower habit: 'That's a lot of multitasking'

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'The View' host Whoopi Goldberg was stunned to speak after Jessica Biel revealed her "gross" yet quirky shower habit, which she called a time-saver for her busy life as a mother.

The ‘7th Heaven’ star appeared as a guest on Wednesday's episode of 'The View', where she discussed an array of topics, including one not-so-common multitasking act—eating while in the middle of taking a shower. 

Biel pointed out that she had gone viral for an Instagram video that showed her eating a blood orange in the shower the last time she was on the talk show.

Recalling the video, host Alyssa Farah Griffin asked her if she was still bringing her snacks into the stall. "This is just like multitasking,” the actress replied, according to OK! Magazine.

Although Biel acknowledged the practice is "weird" and "gross," she ruled out a few food items where she draws the line.

“I don’t do sandwiches. I don’t like pastries,” she explained, adding, “I have some boundaries! I’m not gonna eat a steak in there. But you know what, I really like to drink my coffee in there. And then sometimes other things come in, like protein bars and stuff. It’s so gross and weird! I’m sorry!”

While Sunny Hostin seemed to support the idea, Jessia Biel pointed out Whoopi Goldberg’s expression. The host was perplexed by the confession and even shot a confused look directly at the camera, prompting a laugh from the audience.

“I know, Whoopi, I'm sorry! Now you don't want to be friends with me anymore,” the ‘Better Sister’ actress said upon noticing Goldberg’s baffled expressions.

"No, no, I'm trying to think,: Whoopi replied. "That's a lot of multitasking. Because not only do you have to get away from the water, you have to get the food in your mouth, and then you've gotta get a towel, because some little kid's about to get in."

The hosts then asked Biel if she and Justin Timberlake's two sons, Silas, 10, and Phineas, 4, "realize if they have cool parents?"

"I'm definitely not cool to my kids. My husband has a little bit more of the cool factor. The music part is cool because we listen to the music,” she declared.

Jessica Biel first went viral for her love of snacking in the shower in December 2023 when she uploaded a video of herself eating a blood orange in the bathroom.

In her video, she explained to fans that if you're a messy eater, the crumbs just "go down the drain." A month later, she shared another tip about her unusual ritual.

“Here's my rules with shower eating: a ledge is really helpful, [somewhere] you can stick your cup, your yogurt container, your coffee, your espresso, whatever it is you're enjoying,” she suggested.

“But I like to take a bite or a sip and put it on the ledge, and then you do your thing. You wash your hair — keep the soap out — that's a big deal. It's pretty simple, guys. You can do this,” Biel added.
