SAG HARBOR, NEW YORK: Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are hitting the pause button on their marriage - at least for the holidays.
While the couple has no plans to divorce, they’ve decided to spend the holidays apart, giving each other much-needed space amid a year of drama.

Justin Timberlake, 43, is currently engrossed in his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, which has been running since April and will continue through next summer.
The tour has not only kept the pop icon busy but also provided some emotional distance for Biel, 41, who has reportedly been dealing with the ripple effects of Timberlake’s recent controversies.
According to an insider who spoke to RadarOnline.com, Biel is using the time apart to focus on herself.
The source revealed, “She might go to one or two of his concerts to show she's willing to support him, but privately she's relieved to be having some space so she can take stock, catch up on her own projects, and see friends.”
"Emotionally, it'll be a relief for her to get away from all the drama," the insider added.

While she has made public appearances to support her husband at one or two concerts, privately, Biel is taking a step back from the chaos that has surrounded their 12-year marriage.
The actress has reportedly been under immense pressure, especially following Timberlake’s June arrest in Sag Harbor, New York for driving while intoxicated.
According to NPR, police said Timberlake ran a stop sign in the village center, veered out of his lane and got out of his BMW smelling of alcohol.
Though the pop star pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of driving while ability impaired, agreeing to pay a fine and perform community service, the incident added another strain to their relationship.

This isn’t the first time Timberlake’s actions have cast a shadow over the couple’s marriage. Back in 2019, the 'Sexy Back' singer made headlines after being spotted holding hands with his 'Palmer co-star Alisha Wainwright.
While the two brushed it off as a misunderstanding, the incident led to increased scrutiny of Timberlake’s behavior. Compounding matters, Timberlake’s name continues to pop up in controversies involving his ex, Britney Spears.

Though Biel is taking a break to prioritize her mental health, the couple has no intention of calling it quits.
"As everyone knows, they've had some hurdles to navigate, and Jessica actually needs some space right now for her own mental health," said the insider.
The insider emphasized, “Jessica doesn’t want to divorce Justin.” However, she isn’t planning to shadow his every move either.
“She doesn’t want to follow him around like a puppy dog,” the source explained, noting that Timberlake has been “checking in with her daily” despite their time apart.
For his part, Timberlake is reportedly embracing the distance as well. “In some ways, he’s feeling like he could use the time away, too,” the insider added.
